Hi everyone,

I just received my Premier Disney Visa and could not find a human to talk to on the help number. I hope someone here can help.

The paperwork states 2% on groceries and 1% on everything else. Is Wal-Mart groceries? What if I buy milk at say Target, or non grocery item at lets say Kroger? Can anyone clarify?

My walmart near me comes up as groceries. I actually emailed Chase with the very same question when we first got our card. The Chase rep said for me to look at my posted transactions and give him the store number/code and he would check for me. I did that within a few days. I asked him to look up 2 wal marts for me and both came up as grocery.

When I asked, Chase told me, that Target is included if the store is a Super-Target, which they consider a grocery.

But I have had Target purchases be looped into the 2% even when they are not super-targets. It's very random, so I wouldn't bet on getting the 2% if its a regular target

I tried to check online, and mine didn't say, but I think I've heard that it depends on how the store designates itself... I would think that a WalMart or Targe Superstore would be considered a grocery store, and their smaller counterparts as a regular store.

I'd do what the previous poster said and check with a Chase rep for specific stores where you shop.

Some Targets and some WalMarts are tagged as grocery while others are not. As PP said, you'll have to check with Chase regarding the stores in your area -- it's actually by store and not by what you physically purchase. So if your Target store is coded as a grocery store, anything you purchase there will earn 2% rewards; conversely if it is not coded as a grocery, it won't matter whether you buy milk or shoes, it will be 1%.
