We have a pending trip in Sept. I believe that the Disney Visa has 0% for 6 months. Is that correct?

Also, I want to get on paying this off in full, should I call and have them add the charges to my credit card now so I can do this?

I hope this is posted in the correct forum as the charges are for my room.

Yes, you can have them bill your CC for the rest of the trip now. You'll get the rewards dollars too.

You can get 0% for 6 months on a package charged to your disney card. When you call you can have them put the entire amount on the card if you want and then have the 6 months to pay it off.

Thank you for the very quick reply. I did call and spoke to a wonderful woman. I have the charges going on the card today and will be paying it off the next few months.

This is my first ever cash trip with even the hard sell tickets being all paid for in advance. I have been doing SR for Disney gift cards and I have over $90 already. I have 4 months to go so I expect to go with $300 in Gift cards all from SR.

It feels good to be on cash system now and knowing that if I have the $ I can have it. If not the answer is no.

can I threadjack?

Do you have to call Visa and let them know you want this on at the 6 month interest free or is it automatic?

It's automatic for charges for Disney Packages. So, for example, I posted my deposit in April and I have until Oct. to pay that off. When I post my balance in July, I'll have until Jan. to pay that off. Your bill will reflect the promotional balances separately. Just an interesting fact-any credits you post, other than payments (like returns, etc.) to your account will reduce your promotional balance too. Just a heads up.

So if I have my package booked with DreamsUnlimited, I can pay it off with my Disney Visa, but have 6 months till interest is charged? I plan to pay it off in June, but could use the rewards dollars now! However, a finance charge would offset any DD earned, so I want to be sure. Thanks in advance!

I think the charges have to be from Disney not a TA. If the TA puts the charge on it will show up from them and not from Disney therefore you would have to pay at the outrageous 11.99% on the card! Yikes.

Could you cancel your ressie with the TA and just book direct with Disney?

Thanks! I just called DV and he said that I am still in the intro rate of 0% finance charge, so either way I am ok! Whew... I pay the card off in full each month , but won't be paying this off until June...so I wanted to check. Thanks again!

Thanks.
Now....I have our deposit of 200.00 on my DV, but don't see that listed at 0% for 6 months?

I just opened mine with my deposit (which posted on 4-07-08) and it shows it clearly under QUALIFYING PROMOTIONAL FINANCING which is listed right after TRANSACTIONS. As an aside, mine isn't due until Oct. 27,2008 which is more like 6 1/2 months. If you don't see yours on your bill then you should called DV and ask about it. Hope this helps.

It is a strange and new area for me, asking to have charges put on so I can pay them off quickly.

I forgot about getting the rewards points, it is only going to 15 points but that is a drink or a few dole whips.

I am just excited to see the charges and write the check to pay the entire bill in full.

Thanks you have been a great help.
I am not too concerned with the 200-dollars, but I aso have to pay my balance in July and would like to have the 6 months on that one.

Me too! Other than my Disney charges, I pay my balance in full. Have a great time!

The zero% is for Vacation packages, if you just book a room only I was told and billed for mine immediately. You can pay off your trip in full if you like. I paid my trip last year on the 45th day before and had our Disney Dollars in time to go. We did have a card already, but I think you can even get the DD card while at WDW.

If you make additional purchases while you have the 6 month no interest for the vacation package, as long as you pay off the entire additional charges, you will have no interest at all. Disney is one of the few CC that will apply payments first to other charges and then to the zero percent bal. I made sure of this before making any additional charges so I would not accrue any interest at all. It did work for me!

Little confused on the Disney Dollars part of the VISA. I booked a package and put my deposit down and plan on putting the rest on the VISA 45 day mark, just checked my card on line and don't see any Disney Dollars. How exactly does this work? :confused3

The Disney Dollars are added to your account at the end of each billing cycle. A few weeks before you go to WDW, you should order a Disney Rewards card, which will be sent to you pre-loaded with the number of Disney dollars you have accumulated. You can then use those Disney dollars to purchase almost anything at all WDW resorts and themeparks.

Thanks Madalex- just went on line and checked my DD and they are there - thanks for the clarification:flower3:

I have a DV and I am going to put my package on here in June when my 45 day mark hits. I am booked with AAA, so in other words, you are telling me that I can get the 0% financing for 6 mos even if booked with AAA?
