Is it worth the hassle of getting the Disney Visa card? It seems like you have to spend several thousand dollars to recieve any significant rewards and the interest rate seems awfully high (around 20%) when compared to other cards.

I saw a couple of people posted about using discount codes for hotel stays and saving quite a bit...do you have to spend a certain amount on the visa before you become eligible for these discounts? Or is it just a matter of booking with the card?:confused3

Disney gives you 1% of all purchases....
This is free money....ONLY IF YOU PAY BALANCE IN FULL....
If you do this.....dosen't matter what the interest is.....

On all Disney Vacation packages....ie...hotel and tickets....
you have 6 months to pay it at 0 interest...

As far as discount codes.....no special ones attached to Visa card...

When Disney puts out new discount packages....Disney Visa
cardholders get to book it a few days earlier....
Ie...free dining promo.....
Hope that helps

To get the savings offered yesterday with the codes that just came out all you have to do is book with the Disney Visa card.

Right now on WDW website Visa is offering $40 back on your first purchase for new card holders. I don't plan to use it but there is also 0% financing on Disney reservations for 6 months.

It saved me $375.00 off of an existing reservation, not counting the $40 bucks I get back too.

I'm not advertising for them and I'm not a big fan of credit cards, so don't plan to use the card for anything but Disney. But, there do seem to be SIGNIFICANT savings if you are flexible on your vac dates and when used as offers come out.

I am also not big on credit cards but it was worth it to me to save $480 off of our november package!! We are planning to put our entire balance on the card so we can get points then just pay the balance in full. AAA couldn't save me a dime, also...:)

thanks for the tips...i also heard something mentioned about a special character meet and greet for visa members only in one of the parks...can't remember which one though
