After I call them, how long will it take to get my rewards card?

Have you had any trouble using rewards?

Maybe 10 days or so to get the card. I've never had any issues with using it.

It took about 2 weeks to get our Rewards Card. I was just beginning to panic thinking that I had either missed it in the mail or that it had gotten lost. Not sure if this is because I ordered it online or not.

This is our 3rd time using our rewards card and we have never had any trouble with it.

A couple of times, CM's were surprised by it, but treated it just like any other credit card.

And it is easy to load points on it too. I usually order mine with the minimum number of points necessary, just in case it gets lost in the mail, and then call to add more points once we get to Disney. That is very simple to do and if I remember correctly, the points you add on are immediately available to use.

You can use the card just like a credit card. If the venue accepts credit cards, just hand them them the rewards card instead. We used ours to buy meals at the restaurants and the snack vendors pretty much any where in throughout the parks. There were a very very few that did not accept it. They will give you a receipt with the balance printed at the bottom.

I just got our first reward card. It took about a week to arrive. I am looking forward to using it at WDW

If there is not enough time to order it before your trip I was told tonight by visa customer service that you could get a rewards card at guest relations in downtown disney and they could call and have your rewards balance transfered to the card.

But don't forget, you get 1 point for every $100 you spend. We have had our Disney Visa for a little over a year and we only racked up 112 as of two months ago. But that's just because we don't use it that often.

I just got mine in the mail, it took about 7 business days. You need to activate it, before it can be used. You need to call the 800 number on the card FROM YOUR HOMR PHONE to activate the card. This way if the card is lost or stolen, others could not activate it and use your dollars. Just thought I'd mention this so that if you are planning on taking it to the parks, make sure you activated it before you leave home.

I know this to be true because during our trip in February 2006, I actually lost my Rewards card when it still had several hundred dollars on it. At Downtown Disney Guest Relations, you can immediately get a new card. You then call the 800 number on the card and the balance is immediately transferred to the new card. This took all of about 5 minutes.

And, as others have said, the Rewards card can be used all through the parks and Disney resorts which take Visa. The only place I could not use it was at Palio in the Swan (I guess because this is a non-Disney owned resort/restaurant; interestingly, however, the gift shop at Swan is Disney owned and operated, so the card could be used there).

The only problem I had with our card was activating it. I forgot to do it before we left home and the people at the 800 number would only let DH activate it from a phone # that was not our home phone. He had to call Chase from work so that DD and I could use the card. It was frustrating because I filled out the application, I'm the one who does the shopping and I'm the one who writes the check every month. Chase had no problems with my doing any of those things but, when it came to using the rewards, only DH could get permission. So, activate your rewards card before you leave home, especially if you're the stay-at-home person. From your home phone activation is automated and simple.

So how many points is everything in the park?

We only have like 25 points or something like that. Will we be able to use it for anything?

I got mine in about a week. I think they have express shipping available when you order your card, so it could come in a day or two instead. Honestly, if you can't remember to order your card two days in advance of your trip... you can't have had that much money in there. I've been salivating over my rewards balance, watching and waiting for the trip that I'll get to use it on!

It doesn't work like points... it's dollars and cents. If you have 25 reward points, you have $25 to spend in the parks. Food, merchandise, tickets, hotels... so long as it's a Disney vendor (i.e. not Swan & Dolphin hotel, Rainforest Cafe or a lot of Downtown Disney stuff), you can spend it.

Thank you!!

11 days and counting until our 1st trip!
