Can someone please tell me how i go about using my Disney Rewards money to make a payment for my upcoming trip in dec. I have received the Rewards card with the money on it for signing up for a disney visa but now i am confused as to how i pay for my trip with it. Anyone who could give me any info would be very helpful thanks.

If you have the rewards card already, all you need to do is call Disney and tell them you want to make a payment of however much you have on the card. They will ask for the card number much like they would a credit card.

When I was booking online 2 days ago, it was one of the methods of pmt as well as gift cards. I have used the Rewards to use towards payment in past years and no problem.

I never pay on a trip with my Rewards Card points, for fear if something were to happen, and I had to cancel my rewards points would expire. I always redeem them for a Disney Gift Cards and then apply it. I know it will never expire.

What happens if you pay on the trip and then have to cancel? Would it make a difference one way or another, gift card payment or Disney rewards?

Can't you just make a payment on your bill with your rewards when your trip is over? Has anyone done this?

I don't think that you can apply it towards the Visa bill. It can only be used at Disney locations such as the parks, hotels, stores, restaurants, etc.

i'm curious about this too. What's the difference between using a Rewards card and a Gift card if you end up cancelling?

Ok, yes there is a difference. The Rewards Card has an expiration date. If by chance you cancel, the reward money or points, however you call it will be put back onto your rewards card. But they will expire at some point. If you go and buy a Disney gift card with your Rewards card, apply it to the ressie, and then if you have to cancel that same amount will go back onto your Disney gift card that will never ever expire. I strongly suggest getting Disney gift cards with your rewards card.

No, if you cancel Disney credits back whatever way you paid. If you pay with cash, cash back, cc, cc credited back, Disney GC, back to the GC you used. If you pay with the Rewards Disney Dollars, they will credit back the card you used to pay with. A few years ago, I paid off my trip with a CC, GC and some Disney Dollars. The CM told me to keep both the GC anc Disney Rewards dollar card. She said if you cancel, they recredit the GC and Rewards card. What the other poster was saying is that the Disney Dollars reward card has an expiration date, and it could expire. I don't know what would happen IF you paid with the Disney Rewards Dollars card and you cancel after the card expires. Not sure how they would credit you, so the above poster suggested getting a Disney GC and using that to pay with. I did this for a trip a while ago, now I just pay with the Disney Visa, have the 6 months zero interest and use the Disney Dollars at WDW. I don't know how many Disney rewards dollars you're talking about but I would either use them at WDW or get the GCs if you have a lot of them. Hope this helps.

You can get the gift cards at the Disney store online. Theres like a zillion to choose from.
