Disney Visa Rewards ?

DH and I have to close/cancel our Disney Visa credit card (long story). I don't want to lose my 138 reward dollars, so I'm trying to figure out what to do. I would like to get a new card in just my name and transfer it over, but I don't know if I'll be able to because I'm a SAHM, aka no job. If I can't do that... If I transferred the rewards dollars to a reward card would they be cancelled when the credit card is cancelled? I guess my last option would be to transfer the rewards to a reward card and then spend it on a $125 Disney gift card. In which case I would lose 13 dollars because you can only get gift cards in $25 increments.

Any advice?

I cant remember if you can use them there though...

Worth a look I guess. Get the gift card and then try to use the other $13 there. I might just give up the $13 and get the GC.

DisneyShopping.com is a good idea to use up the extra $13, if I need to. Never thought about that. Thanks.


Does anyone know if you can even transfer reward dollars from one CC to another?

Disney Reward dollars can't be transferred to another card. They are exclusive to the Disney Visa.

I meant if I opened a different (from DH's) Disney Visa account in just my name, could I transfer his reward dollars to my Disney Visa.

Oh, crap.

I wonder if I can use reward dollars to pay the deposit and a little extra on a resort reservation. We plan on going in either Nov or Dec. But what would happen if we had to cancel our reservations? Would we lose the reward dollars?

It looks like I CAN buy a gift card with a reward dollars. I don't have the rewards card yet so I won't know for sure until it arrives, but it shows Disney Rewards as a way to pay for the gift card. I'll come back and update when I actually place the order. I'm crossing my fingers.
