Disney Visa Rewards question

I have a friend that has a lot of rewards, some of them are going to expire soon. ( Oh goodness, I can never seem to accumulate them before spending them!) She asked if she could transfer them to a card to have the expiration date extended. My question is whether or not she could take this rewards card to the Disney store and buy actual disney gift cards that do not expire at all? Not sure when she is going to use them, so want to make sure she can use them. I told her she could just give them to me, but she wasn't going for it!

I was told that some Disney stores allow this and some don't. My Disney store was happy to let me buy a $500 Disney gift card with $500 in Disney reward dollars. Just have her go to the store and check with the manager. I asked this same question a few months back, and several posters said that you could buy the Disney gift cards online with your rewards card. It's worth a try - no rewards dollars should go to waste.
