When you redeem your rewards, how long does it take? Do they send a gift card or voucher or something? We have 5 weeks before our trip. Am I too late to redeem my points?

We have always received ours within two weeks, you should be fine. And it's a gift card.

thanks! I guess I'll go redeem them. I'm in Hawaii so sometimes mail takes just a bit longer. We only have about $100 but every bit counts right?!

I've actually redeemed points while at Disney. We were at DCA, I called chase, they had me walk over to customer service at the front of the park and pick up a gift card.

I had my first one mailed, but it expired at the end of December. When I was there in mid January, I went to City Hal in DL and picked up a new card. I just had to call Chase to activate and load my reward points.

I realized my redemption card expired about two days before my trip (there was no money on it--the card just expired). I picked one up in the parks, same as Girimama. They have the redemption cards at City Hall in DL, the Chamber of Commerce in DCA, and at the Guest Services location in the esplanade between the parks. (I got it at Guest Services so I didn't have to use park time to get one). They will ask to see your VISA card and your ID. They give you a card, you call the number and they will load up however many reward points you want on it. At that point, the card is ready to use.

I never load the full amount at once--just because I'm never sure we'll use them all. It's VERY easy to call the 800-number and add more points onto the card, and they're available instantly.

Glad to know there are options! We haven't had our card that long and have never gone on a trip with it.

I think we'll definitely use the full amount this time, but our next trip won't be for at least another year so the info on not loading it all and adding more will be helpful.

Five weeks is plenty of time.

New cards do NOT expire. So no need to worry about waiting to order, like before.

Can I tack on a couple questions here about DV reward dollars?

Can you have your reward dollars loaded onto two cards at the same time? Say $50 for my son while he's with his high school band, and the rest on my card?

Are there restaurants at Downtown Disney that DON'T take Disney Dollars?
Or is it all of them and we should eat at the Disney hotels?

Thanks!!:yay:

Does this process take long? I am trying to decide if I want to just have it mailed, or do it this way! Thanks.

Just have one mailed to you. They no longer expire, so if you haven't redeemed do so as soon as you have $20. If you have redeemed before, you can get a new card with as little at $10. Then right before your trip transfer whatever rewards you want.
