Disney Visa Rewards for race registration?

Has anyone been able to use Disney Visa Rewards points towards race registration or race discounted tickets?

I do not think that rewards can be used for race registrations since the transaction occurs outside of Disney's cash registers (Active.com). I cannot speak on the discounted park media.

I believe one can use them at the expo on Official merchandise.

They don't count.. When I was figuring out if upgrading to the Premium Disney Visa I asked about that and was told that to them its not a 'disney race' its an active.com race (which was my tipping point for not upgrading as spending a good 500+ a year on Disney races adds up..)

Yep...last year I think I paid for some stuff at the expo with Disney giftcards (the official merchandise only). I also got an AP discount.
