Hi All,

Just received information in the mail about Disney Visa Rewards redemption locations.

It appears that I am not able to use the rewards card everywhere...

Blue Bayou is not listed, Wine Country Trattoria....The list goes on and on.

Since we are DVC members using points for our stay, I planned to use the rewards on dining.

I thought rewards were able to be used anywhere, just like they are at WDW??

Another thought....If I order park tickets in advance, Can I use the Disney Rewards Dollars?

I'm wondering if you are confusing two different sets of information? The rewards card is just like a credit card, you can use it anywhere that they take credit cards. The discount that you get for using your Disney Visa (usually 10%) is only good at a few locations (BB and WCT being some where you cannot), so I wonder if you were looking at the discount information for your Disney Visa and thinking that it was for your rewards card? We were just there and were able to use our rewards card everywhere that we went.

I just got my new info, too.

It says (for DL) 10% off dining at:
Rancho del Zocato
Canation Cafe
Redd Rockett's Pizza Port

It also says "Disneyland resort Rewards redemption locations"
then lists:
Dining:
Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante
Redd Rockett's Pizza Port
Cafe' Orleans
Blue Ribbon Bakery
Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor

Shopping:
Emporium
Gag Factory - Toontown Five & Dime
Disneyana
Little Green Men Store Command
Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost

So it does indeed appear to be limiting us now as to where we can use it. :(

Does anyone know if there is a minimum food purchase requirement? I know you have to spend $50 on merchandise, but it isn't clear on the minimum purchase on food.

I think you mean the actual Disney Visa card. Yes you need to spend 50+ dollars to get the 10% off discount, but at the places that you can use it for a food discount it doesn't matter the amount.

However, I am highly concerned if you can only use the rewards card at the places listed by PP.

Sheesh! Most of the reason I use that card is to earn points that I use to buy tickets etc. We paid for part of our hotel stay too. I hope they will still offer this but it would still stink if they are limiting the other places you can use it!
I think I might just keep the card to use for trips but get a card with better "rewards" to save for our next trip.

I was able to use the Rewards Card yesterday to purchase lunch at Pacific Wharf Cafe and buy a Pirate Minnie at Pieces of Eight, no problem.

I was a little freaked about the list as well....until I read the small print at the bottom of the brochure. It says, "Examples of Rewards redemption locations and not a complete listing. Locations subject to change." I will call and ask, but I assume that means we can still use the card everywhere that credit cards are accepted.

I have a Disney Visa and didn't get this info. Did it come in the mail? I was planning on ordering my rewards card soon.

Mine came today and I didn't read the small print.

I sure hope I can still use it at BB!
