Hi, we are going to Disney in a couple months, so I've been using our Disney Visa cards for everything I can to get extra points. I wanted to order our rewards card with $20 in rewards now so I'll make sure we get them in time. Is the way it works now that once we get that card, we can download any additional points directly to it? Do they points have to be in $10 increments or can I add, say, $12.33?

Thanks for any help! I want to make sure I am reading it correctly! When we had Disney visa a while ago, you ordered $20 cards each time, you didn't reload them.

Order the card now, then just go back online and you can add the rewards to it. And yes you can add any number. $10, $24.42, $12.31.....any amount up to your full balance.

I just got our rewards card in the mail this week. The rep told me that once we receive the card, we can add any points we accrue at any time, no matter the amount. You can do it over the phone or online and the points transfer immediately. We just transferred all our points to a card and I used them to pay off our vacation. I will transfer any new points right before our trip in February and use those towards room charges. The reloadable card seems really convenient!

and the points, once transferred to the card never expire! :)

I received a notice (more than one actually) that my card that I had since 2014 would expire by this Dec. I will now have to get another card for any new loaded points. Maybe the new ones don't expire.

I never ordered my card. I went to guest relations at the park and they gave me the card and loaded it up. All I had to do was call to activate. (this was in feb 2015, not sure if it has changed)

I have a different Disney Visa question- I just got one a few months ago because they had a $200 gift card when you spend $500 in 90 days deal. If anyone has done this, when did you get your gift card?

I think they just took it off my bill. I don't remember getting a physical card.

A physical card in the mail once you spend $500.
DH just did it this fall.

I just got mine and read the fine print and it said that it had to be used by Dec 31st or I would lose the money. Well my trip isn't until the end of January so I had to use the card towards my trip balance instead of food or whathaveyou in the parks.

On the terms and conditions for the redemption cards it says
7. If you were issued a Redemption Card during the calendar years of 2014 and 2015, it may have an expiration on the card, so if you have not redeemed all of the Reward Dollars prior to the expiration date on the Redemption Card, you may transfer those Reward Dollars to a new Redemption Card. Once your Reward Dollars are transferred to a new Redemption Card, the Reward Dollars on that Redemption Card will not expire.

DH and I both did this a couple months ago. The gift cards came a couple weeks after the billing cycle ended that we spent the amount needed for them.
