Disney Visa Reward Dollars

I have a quick question. Lets say I charge something on my Visa and then pay it off before the statement comes out. Does it still calulate those disney dollars when the statement comes out at the end of the month?

Yes! I often pay in advance myself! The way the Disney $$ are calculated is charges & credits; payments aren't included - they're a separate category.

Yes that's right, but I've had some of those ever elusive bonus rewards show up a statement later.

That's exactly what we do! I always send payment for the balance + any charges since the statement date. I like to earn as many reward dollars as possible but we do not carry a balance. We charge anything that can be charged and pay it off each month. (It's made balancing the checkbook much easier, too! )

Not that I'm aware of Some of us earned "bonus" reward $$ but I think that promotion ended 6/30/05. What many of us do is: when we make a payment, we pay the balance as of that date rather than the lesser amount on the billing statement (assuming we've had additional charges since the cut-off date). We still earn reward $$ for those purchases even though we paid them off before they billed. I hope that makes sense because I "lost" myself there for a minute!!

No - you ARE earning rewards on every purchase -- they're just tallied once a month. If you check your statement, the amount of $$ you earned should equal 1% of ALL of the charges you made since the previous statement (minus any $$ for returned items if applicable that month). If you're concerned, make a call to the 1-800 # to put your mind at ease. HTH
