Can I use them to pay for part of my trip? We are booked for FD in Sept. I am thinking that we can, but not sure.

Since we will earn some dollars after we pay for our trip but before we actually go, does anyone have any tips on how to use them at the park?

subscribing, I would like to know this as well. I was thinking of using them for tips.

OK. keep in mind I JUST got my Disney card a few days ago but from what I was told. After the first billing cycle, we need to order a rewards card which can take 3 weeks. The points can then be downloaded to refill the card but only from what you have earned from the last billing cycle. This stinks because we will be half way through our vacation when the statement comes out. There is a place at each park that can assist with downloading the rewards points or you can do it online (I think)

We were told you can use them at restaurants, towards vacation packages, and to buy merchandise.

We usually use our points for either merchandise while we are there...or we have used it for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in AK.

Also remember to watch the expiration dates on the points as well...

our entire trip (food included) will be paid off and we don't buy souveniurs so I don't know what to use the rewards on other than tips! Anyone know how to do this?

you can charge the tips to your room when you sign your bill for DDP..then at check out you can use your rewards card to pay the balance.

You can use them to pay off your trip, but you have to have the points loaded to the Rewards Card already to do that.

I usually take the rewards card with me and have them put all of it as a room credit when I check in (knowing I will spend at least that amount since I won't get that money back) along with my credit card for charges. Then I use my KTTW card for tips and purchases. The rewards credit gets used first, any balance gets charged to the credit card I left on file. Easy.

You must have a minimum of 20 Reward Dollars to order your card initially. This is the same as a minimum of $2,000 in purchases. I actually got an mailer from them today reminding me to order my Reward Card at least a month before my vacation, then I can go online or call to reload at the end of every billing cycle. I just plan on paying my meals at the restaurants with my rewards card.

that is an awesome idea!! thank you for sharing.

Best way to use it is to charge your tips and purchases to your KTTW.

Then, the NIGHT BEFORE checkout (I believe it needs to be before 11pm), go to the front desk, and apply the rewards card to your outstanding balance.

The rest will be automatically charged to your credit card.

Another option is to change your reservations to 1day (or 2day depending on the new promos) base tickets. Then, when you check in, upgrade your tickets and pay the difference with your rewards card.
