Hi everyone!

18 days till we leave for the world. Getting ready to order my Disney Visa redemption card online via chase and it looks like I have the option to just get the card at the park??

This would be my preference if true as I have 15 more points coming my way from this months spending, but not sure I can wait until the statement closes to order my redemption card as we leave May 8th!

Has anyone went to guest relations to "order" their points card? Do you get it same day? No need to call Visa in advance?

Anyone who can share their experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

We've picked them up at Downtown Disney multiple times. They give it to you right there and you just call to link the call and transfer the balance. Up until 2 years ago it was always quick but post MDE nothing about gues services is quick anymore. On the positive side the cards no longer expire so as long as you don't lose it you can keep reusing the one you get.

Great! Thank you. It's worth a little hassle for the extra money. That's lunch for one of us for a day!

You can order your card now and then add to it by calling. Once you have the card, you can add the entire amount of your available rewards, down to the penny. We did this on our last trip and it was very easy and fast. Much faster than waiting for a card at guest services.

Ok I must have misunderstood because there was something on the website about a $20 minimum. Perhaps that is just for each new card itself.

There is a minimum amount you have to put on the card if you are having it mailed to you -- I think it's $10. At this point, if it was me, I'd just pick up the card at guest services and call to transfer the money. It's really easy.

Can confirm, just ordered my redemption card and the minimum was $10

Just this month I went to guest relations in HS to get a redemption card. It was a quick process. They give you a card with a number on it to call. I called that night and they were able to put the points on the card. But only the points that were on the balance of my last statement. Nothing that was posted to my account but not yet billed. I used the card 2 days later but I believe I could have used it right away.
