Disney Visa questions

A few weeks ago I received a Chase Disney Visa offer in the mail and chucked it straight into the shred bin - I figured it wasn't going to be worth it and didn't bother looking at it.

Fast forward a few weeks and one of my friends tells me she got an offer in the mail for the no-fee Disney Visa, the "$200 Disney GC after spending $500 in 3 months" dealie. It also offered extra $50 GC for adding an extra cardholder to the account.

Now I'm kicking myself for throwing away my offer sight unseen. My friend gave my email info to Chase so I could get the same deal and I just got it now, but the deal in my inbox doesn't say anything about getting an extra $50 for adding another cardholder.

So, my questions are:

1. Could I just call Chase and see if they still have my original offer on record somewhere, just to see if I was offered the same deal my friend got? (Honestly I don't know if it's worth it just for an extra $50, but I thought I would ask here in case someone had any experience with this!)

2. If you're one of those folks who got a GC deal like this, how long did it take you to receive the gift card after you reached your spending goal? I took a look at the fine print of the offer and it said something like "allow up to 8 weeks to receive the gift card." I have a few Disney trips planned this year and I just want to make sure the card would arrive in time for the trips. It would suck if it came too late!

If your friend actually referred you, then that would be why the extra $50 isn't part of your offer. If she actually did apply for the card (assuming she did since she gave your info to chase) and they processed your info as a referral, then she will get a $50 bonus (either gift card or statement credit- can't remember which) if you apply through that referral. They won't allow you to get a $50 bonus for a second card holder if she gets the $50 referral bonus, if that makes sense. I don't know if they would have the initial offer still on file or not. They generally have a deadline that you have to apply by. Also, since you received the new offer without the extra $50, I don't know if that would have cancelled out the first offer or if you could pick between the 2, but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask.

As to how long it takes to receive the $200 gift card, I spent the minimum required within a week or two of having the card and received the gift card in the mail about a week later. I hadn't even received my first billing statement yet, it was that fast. I don't know if it is like that for everyone though. FWIW, I applied last August.

Does anyone know if the $200 gift card offer is still available? I know I can get a $200 statement credit offer, but I really prefer to have the gift card; that way, I know I actually spend the money on Disney!

I'm not sure what the regular offers like you can find online or receive in the mail are. I'm a Disney visa holder and it says that referrals get the $200 in a Disney gift card. As I posted previously though, if you apply through a referral, you receive ONLY the $200 gift card. I'm not sure if they are still offering the $50 statement credit for adding a second user but that part is NOT valid through a referral.
