Disney visa questions

I just applied for a Disney visa with the idea that it might help us if a rate comes out for our travel in May. But they said I won't know if I am approved for 10 days when it comes in the mail.

But my TA said I can only get access to a potential visa discount if all my charges are booked on that Visa. So does that mean I have to wait until I get my card to book my trip? Or is there a way around that - maybe booking on another card and then transferring it to the new card when it comes? I am anxious to book so I hate having to wait on the card. Anyone have any tips?

I believe according to others that you can book and then they transfer your deposit to the new card. I hope that's the case as i paid my depost on my cc and I would like to use Dh's DV for the discount. :) Hope that helps.

I read here on the DIS that once you have made your deposit, you can not transfer it to another card, I would hold off, it is only a couple of weeks and if it means you will get a discount if they come out, then it would be worth it.

Oh no, I hope that's not the case!! I won't be able to get the discount then! :scared1:

FWIW, my TA said I had to hold off booking, that you have to put the whole thing on the VISA originally to be eligible. Now maybe someone here knows a way around that, but it seems consistent with what the previous poster said. I guess I have to be patient a while longer... JJ

Unless you are reserving within 45 days, you only need to put down the $200 deposit on your Disney Visa. The balance, AFAIK, can be put on any other card.
