Disney Visa Question

So, I know you get 6 months interest free financing on Disney trips on the Disney Visa. I'm wondering what most people do with that...
Like, can I put the deposit (and obviously just pay that off) and then pay the balance right before I leave, thus starting the 6 months at that point?
And does that work when booking through a travel agent?

Just curious, as I am trying to budget for our trip and home improvement projects simultaneously and thinking about how best to spread the pain, LOL.

Each charge starts a new 6 month window. Yes, you can book this with your TA as long as the TA runs your charge through Disney, most do.

I usually pay my deposit, then a month before the balance is due I pay off a good portion of it to accumulate rewards points. Then once my credit card cycles I use the point balance towards the trip, then pay off the balance...if that makes sense.

There was a post earlier from someone that said they did not get interest free booking through their TA. Make sure they use your card to book.

This is my experience with Disney Visa. I booked my trip with TA (DreamsUnlimited Travel). I paid my deposit using Amex. At 37 days out, I paid the balance off with my Disney Premium Visa. My TA ran the card and the transaction had "Walt Disney Travel Company" listed. I got 6 months interest free on that amount. I also got about $80 Disney rewards credit which I used to pay for my breakfast at H&V . Hope it helps.

Yes, as long as the TA has DISNEY charge your card as the merchant, and not the agency as the merchant as referenced by this OP, you will get the 6 months interest free. Most agencies know to do this, but apparently some very large agencies act as the charging merchant as a matter of policy. There is another thread where someone did have this problem with a large agency.

I called the other day to find out about the 0% and was told that it specifically had to be a package.

If I already have Annual passes though, when i book my room at WDW that won't count for 0% financing?

I have a package booked and the transaction for the deposit says: Reservations WDW Lake Lake Buena Vista FL.
Just wondering if this qualifies or not
