Disney Visa - Premier/Rewards??

If you spend more than $4,900 per year in Gas, Grocery, Restaurants & Disney, you will more than pay for $49. If you do not spend more than this then just get the regular card.

I think we should switch to the Premier card - or really think about it. I hate to pay for a cc myself but we average about $13,000-14,000 just on food and gas.

I just got my Premier card today! I had gotten the regular card a few months ago with no annual fee and got the $200 gift card for spending $500 in 90 days. Then I decided I wanted Premier and applied and got it with another deal where they are giving me $200 statement credit after spending $500 in 90 days. So I'm way ahead! I'm mostly going to use for gas and groceries which is a huge chunk of my budget.

I also decided to apply for the Premier. With the $200 after spending $500 in 90 days - will be ahead for the year (even with the $49 fee). We do spend a ton on grocery and gas. As soon as I applied, instantly approved and account showed up immediately on-line with my other cc. Hopefully will received the actual card within the next few days so I can start using it with this week's weekly food shopping.

I needed to get a back-up cc anyway (for the few times my cc gets compromised).

Curious if Costco comes up as grocery? Does anyone know.

No, I believe it will be categorized as "wholesale club" which only earns 1% rewards.

Too bad - I figured that since there is more merchandise/products than food (probably anyway or half and half :) )

I received an offer in the mail for the no fee card, I get the $200 gift card if I spend $500 in the first 3 months (not an issue at all for me) and $50 for adding an authorized user (husband). So how did you get the offer to upgrade to Premier for another $200? We average enough to more than pay for the annual fee if I split up some of my purchases. I have been exclusively using the Costco Citi card this past year because of the high point return but I think that will soon go away so I can divide up my purchases for this card.

I didn't get an upgrade offer for the Premier card- I just applied for it from the Disney visa website. I was kind of surprised they approved me for it with the bonus but I called and confirmed that I do get that bonus as well. I'm going to cancel the no-fee Disney visa since I already received my $200 gift card and won't be needing it anymore now that I have Premier.

Ah I understand now, thank you! I applied yesterday with a letter I received and it was offering the $200 for the no annual fee card so I just went with that option. We typically use another reward card that does pay rewards better but I wanted a Disney card for the gift card and the extra perks when we do go to the park.
