Disney Visa Premier Fee Question

I signed up for the Disney Visa Premier card and got hit with the $50 right away. Is this normal? Most cards don't charge the annual fee until your first year is over/

Unless a credit card offer waives the annual fee for the first year, it is usually charged pretty quickly. I've had them charged before I ever even received the card in the mail.

Unless it’s waived for the first year, the fee is always charged immediately.
