Your card will expire in December, 2007 no matter when in 2006 you order your card - so it really doesn't matter when you order it. You can order your card now and then a few days before your trip you can re-load it with the remainder of points. Just keep in mind that in order to order your card you must have at least 20 reward dollars - after they issue your card you only need to have 10 reward dollars in order to transfer.
