I did a quick search and while I found threads on whats included, I didn't find anything on how good they are or best way to use them.

DW and I will be there next weekend and I we got our perks in the mail a week ago. The ones that we will most likely use it the pins (can never have too many pins :) ) as well as the preferred seating for Aladdin and the parade.

Does anyone have tricks on using these? The parade asks to be somewhere about 45 minutes before hand. Is this necessary?

Any tips would be great.

Thanks!

I don't know about the parade, but for Aladdin, when we used it (it was just a package perk, not a visa thing...we had booked through Costco), we had to check in to a podium in front of the theater sign, about an hour before the show. And had to wait in line at that time. And then we were let in last, and got the "orchestra" seating area, which is, IMO, a fairly BAD place to watch it from. Everything's above you or even behind you.

If the pin voucher is the pin/lanyard voucher, you'll get a certain pin. HOpefully the CM helping you will immediately offer to trade, as the travel package pins are sort of boring. Hubby traded his costco package pin right there and was very happy.

Matt-
Did you have to contact Visa to get perks? Or did you have to spend a certain amount? We recently got the Disney Visa and are going to DL in November.

The only thing I have really read about is that you get the free photo shoot and 5x7 in DCA. As well as 10% off purchases over $50 and 1/2 off stroller rentals.

I also wanted to know about how you got the perks. We got a card recently and I only know of the same deals the LP listed.

It sounds to me that they bought a travel deal (hotel/tickets/etc.) using their Disney Visa and some perks come with that package. If you did not buy a whole package and are just at Disneyland on your own, then your Disney Visa can get you the free photo, 50% off at the Disneystore, etc. - that is, all the stuff listed when you got your card. Hope this helps.

Did you purchase a package through Disney and charge it on your VISA? If so, you get a free lanyard/pin, preferred seating, etc. I had to call to get all of my perks sent to me after I paid off my package. As the previous poster said, the perks the OP was talking about are benefits of booking a package.

Matt - I am most looking forward to the lanyard as well and also wondering about the parade viewing. Anyone know what the lanyard looks like?

Correct, we did the buy 3 get 5 deal, paid with our Disney Visa, and we are staying in the Disneyland Hotel. So in the mail we got the backpack, 2 luggage tags, our park tix and a booklet for the two of us. In the booklet are coupons to redeem the lanyard and pin, as well as tix for priority seating for the parade in DL and Aladdin in DCA.

That is all well and good but like bumbershoot said, the Aladdin doesn't seem worth it. Hopefully the parade view area is good. Anyone know where the viewing area is and do you really need to show up 45 min before hand?

Doesn't answer your question, but I did notice that when I paid at Coke Corner for hotdogs yesterday with my Disney Visa, I got 10% off the bill. Not sure if this works everywhere or not, but it's definitely giving me an incentive to use the card and hope for a happy little surprise discount :thumbsup2

are these really still the perks? I saw the threads about the stroller rentals and assumed the pics were nixed also.

I dont have enough posts to post the link, but if you go to Disney Rewards Visa Card from Chase there is information about the current card benefits

What we do is use our Disney Visa for all our BIG purchases all year and then use the rewards points to help pay for food on our Disney trips. We usually have $100-200 to spend every year or two, and that really helps with the food budget. At the very least, it allows us to have a couple of NICE meals that we wouldn't normally have--because it's FREE!!!!;)

We just got our D visa too - but didnt see anythign about how to redeem our photo - maybe I am just not paying attention to all the writing. Does anyone know?

Thanks

GREAT....
The last time I went I only did it one day. I want to make sure I am aware of all the rules. Can you use 2 cards, with the same account # and get 2 photos???

No, you can't get 2 vouchers for photos if the cards are the same account #. If you have 2 cards with different account #'s, then you get 2 vouchers for 2 pictures.

Do you know if there is a limit to the number of times you can do it during your trip? Like if I get one on Tuesday, could I go back and get another on Thursday?

Yes you can go back on another day - no problem! We've done this and have had the CM's remember us because we're usually dressed in matching t-shirts, so we stand out a bit. :lmao: Fewer people seem to do the matching shirt think at DL than WDW, but it's part of our Disney vacation!
