In the past, have the discounts using Disney Visa codes or AP codes been better? We're AP holders and Disney Visa members, so I'm wondering if I should hold out for AP rates if they Visa codes come out first.

Can anyone help?

i just asked this same question. i was wondering if you book a visa discount on a room, and the ap rate comes out and it's better, can you modify your ressie?

No one will know which rate is better until they actually come out. Last year's AP rate was pretty good. A good amount off and a gift card ($75 for deluxe, $100 for DVC rooms) to boot. MouseSavers has a history link of codes here.

You may always modify ressies. They'll just charge you a penalty if you downgrade within 45 days of package and 6 days of a room only booked via phone. No charge ever to upgrade.

I was wondering this as well as we're new to Disney and all the perks. We've got the Visa and the AP. I plan on modifying our reservation on Thursday if/when the Visa code comes out. If something better comes out with the AP, I'll modify again at that time.
