I told them I was already a card holder & they said I could have up to 5 (I swear she said five!) cards in my name with Chase.
Are you sure they didn't mean 5 separate Chase cards rather than 5 of the same kind? I have a Chase Southwest Rewards card, A Chase Disney Visa and a Chase
Amazon rewards card. That would make more sense than 5 Chase Disney Visas.
So yes.....we both have two cards in our names.
I have the Disney Rewards Visa offer sheet right here in front of me. In the first paragraph on the back it says:
This offer is limited to a
one-time award to new cardmembers of a $200 Disney Gift Card
and
First-time cardmembers only
That's just quoting the relevant bits but I'd be happy to provide a screenshot of the entire agreement if you prefer. Now to me I don't see a lot of wiggle room in those sentences. Perhaps you would care to explain how you came to interpret that as being able to apply as many times as you like, have multiple $200 rewards, whatever.
Not to say you can't get away with it. You're living proof that people fall through the cracks. However, that doesn't make it right. So if you know of some secret part of the cardholder agreement that says you can apply for as many $200 rewards as you want please share it with the board.
I'm so jealous! I received this $200 offer by mail about a month ago, but it was for my maiden name, so my husband said we wouldn't be able to get the incentive because of that fact.
They are probably more interested in your SS # than your name. If you get the offer again you could try calling and asking them about that.
Ugh! I would LOVE to get one of these to use on monthly bills, then pay off immediatley so that we can earn some rewards $ to pay for trips- seems brilliant!
You have to be a pretty heavy user to make it worth your time. For instance, on a recent trip to Downtown Disney we had dinner at Fultons Crab House and paid for it with Disney reward Dollars. It took $15,000 worth of charges to get enough reward dollars to pay for it.
