Disney Visa limit per year?

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before, I did search, but got tired of reading all kinds of things and not what I was looking for!

Is there a set amount that you can only earn for your reward points per year?

I thought that I remembered someone saying that you could only have 750.00 in rewards on your card.

Does anyone know if this is a flat 750.00 on your card, OR if it means that you can only earn 750.00 per year. Meaning if I earned 300.00 last year, I could earn say 500.00 this year and have a total of 800.00 and this would all be fine.

Hope I explained this the right way and someone can follow it and answer my question.

If not, I guess I will call Disney Visa in the morning!

We are dangerously close to the $750 annual limit for reward points (due to a large incentive for putting down payment for DVC on visa). My question is: My husband has an account now and I have a second card on that account. I want to get a second card for our household in MY name so we can continue earning points. Can we get a second card for our household and theoretically earn up to another $750 points in one year????? Has any one ever maxed out the points, if so what did you do? Maybe there's another option?

I have my own account and my DW is on it and she has her own account and I am on hers. We have had no problems

I have 2 accounts @ one address w/o a problem & have maxed out each in one year (a lot of charging for work ). We've saved our DR$s over 2 years & plan to pay 1/2 our cruise with them coming up in Feb.

Why not try a regular Chase Visa? We got in on 1% back on regular items and 5% back on groceries and gas. (no annual fee) (we also have the Disney Visa)

You can use this for CASH back to use either for your disney trip or for airfare, etc. We use this Visa for all groceries & gas to get the 5%. We put EVERYTHING on a credit card, but pay it off at the end of the month instead of writing out checks during the month.
ex. md copays, physical therapy copays, home improvement, cable bill, cell phone bill...

I don't know how long you've had that but I used to work for Chase and I believe the card you are speaking about was discontinued early 07. Most of us, though, continued to carry the card you're talking about instead of getting the new card (The Chase Freedom-- which is 1% on everything and 3% cash back on three things you buy most frequently that month (gas, groceries, entertainment for example)

I think what OP was interested in was if you can earn multiple cards over a couple of years? Say, you earn $750 in rewards in 2008 and $750 in $2009, you woudl have $1400 to spend on a 2010 vacation. Right now points are good through 2011, so they last a few years.

Yes you can have more than $750 on one rewards card, but the annual limit to earn is $750. We waited 2 years & then put 950 points onto one rewards card for the trip. Sweet!
