Disney Visa Happy Dance!!!

Since Disney doesn't own the Disney Stores anymore (bought by Children's Place), can you still use them there? Thanks!

you know...I'm not really sure. I forgot that CP bought out the Disney Store. I imagine you can, but I haven't tried it so I can't say for sure. Hopefully somone else can let you know for sure.

I hate to burst your bubble but $1,000 in Disney rewards dollars means that you spent $100,000 on your card. With most cards with a travel rewards program, your $100,000 would equate to 100,000 miles which is four domestic round trip airline tickets with a retail value 0f $2,000, any airlines, no blackout dates. :wizard:

If the limit each year is $750.00, how did the OP get $1002 - are they split between two years???

Cobbler: be careful that they won't expire before your trip in 2009. They do expire - it usually is a long time. Check you statement.

I don't have anywhere near that much (My gosh, that's $100,500 you've spent!!), but I do pay all my bills each month with my DV. I'll have some points for our trip in Sept. I ordered the new card with the castle on it! It was a hard choice, the mickey and friends was cute also! I love my Disney Visa!

Actually, it's probably not that much at all. I get double bonus points for all "everyday" purchases over $250. That's restaurants, groceries, gas stations, etc. You also usually get double rewards for paying for Disney packages and such.

For example, my purchases last month were $3900 but I earned $52 in reward points. Normally my purchases wouldn't be nearly that much but I paid deposits on 2 Disney reservations and for my tickets.

:cool1: That is AWESOME! :cool1:
I cannot wait- We just started aggresively using it (not using cash- but making sure we can pay the balance each month ;) - for our upcoming Dec trip! I can't wait! :earsgirl:

We also just had our reward dollars transferred to a reward card and plan on using it for our DCL cruise this July. We have $590 now - by the time we cruise in July should have 30 to 40 more but not sure if I will transfer them or let them add up for our next trip. I do not use it for uitility bills or grocery. Usual shopping - clothes, appliances, supplies but what really makes it add up is I now charge our car insurance bill (don't ask, NY with four cars - two teenage boys), one college tuition (wish I could also charge priavate high school and elementary tuition but the collection agency charges us for this). I also charge our homeowners insurance. The money we spend on vacations gets charged. My son's high school (Easter - Italy) trip next April will get charged and once in a while we charge something for our in-laws since they also do not own a credit card. Just pay the bill at the end of the month otherwise not worth it of course.

I love Disney...but we scrapped thier card in favor of the NCL card (The cruise lines) We have 3 cards- one for our business and one for each of us. We get 3% and can bank up $1000 a year on each card. We usually go on a nice long cruise every other year and have trouble spending it all. I don't mean to bragg....it's just more practical for us.

nowellsl, what number did you call to order the new card? I called the number on the summer rewards brochure, and was told that the number was either no longer valid or not activated yet. I would love to get the new Bambi card. :flower:

Sorry it took so long - the number is 1-888-315-4225. The bambi one is cute!

Last week I received a pamphlet from Chase showing the designs (you're right, Bambi is so cute!) but didn't order because it said something about the new Pixie Dust cards being sent to cardholders in April/May. Worried me a bit since that was already mid-May.

Have any of you received a replacement card recently (with the "Chase" logo?) :confused3

I haven't received anything yet. My card expires in June so I'm expecting something in the next few weeks.

... and I was happy with my $60.00!!

I have always used my LLBean card..... love getting the $10.00 coupons. We decided to go to Disney last minute.... if I had known, I would have used my Disney Card more often!

I expect my 60 bucks any day... and then I can start again for our next trip!

... and I did order my Castle Card.... hope I get it in time for my trip!

When I ordered the castle card it said that a new pixie dust card may have already been sent but to just destroy it and my old Bank One card when I received the castle card. The pixie dust card is the red one. If you don't order one of the new cards you will automatically receive the red one.

I received a Disney Visa card application preapproved thing this week . I already have 2 credit cards though. Dont like to have to many :confused3

Thanks! I get concerned when things like credit cards are out there in the mail and I'm not even expecting it - know what I mean????!!!

I love my Disney Visa, but I have one complaint: there have been no WDW Offers for many, many months. Come on, CHASE! Besides our Disney Dollars we like an occasional discount offer for Disney World ;)

nowellsl, thank you. :flower: I just got done ordering my card. I was very hard to choose which one I wanted, but Bambi won. I guess when I called the first time, the number wasn't activated yet.

Yep I watch, if I don't transfer them they won't expire until 2010 so I am good :)

We have begun using of Disney Visa for the reward dollars.

I know I can use it for purchases in WDW but how do I use it to pay for the trip? I know you can't use your dream rewards to pay your Visa bill.

The last time we went (1st timers last year) we charged the package (got the 4 for 7 deal) to our Disney Visa. Again, since I can't pay the bill with the rewards dollars how can I do it?

Do you book the trip and pay the bill when you get to the hotel? (using your rewards dollar card)

Thanks for the help!
