I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how long it takes to get the gift card after you make your first purchase or do you have to make your first payment to get it? We are hoping for Dinsey the first week of June so I am wanting to see if it will get here before then.

Probably if you call Chase, they'll be able to tell you when to expect it.

I got mine 2-3 weeks after 1st purchase. The details when I signed up on line indicated the cards should arrive 6-8 weeks after 1st use but most people here indicated they got the cards within a couple of weeks.

I also found out from the Disney Visa website that you can get a redemtion card in the Parks and call to have them load it with your earned points. I will be doing this in order to get the most points/disney dollars. The points cycle ends around the 15th of each month and if I wait to get my August statement and request the card, I won't have it before my 8/23 trip. Also, if I cash in the month before and request the card to get it in time, I lose a month's worth of purchase points!

Are you talking about the free gift card you get for opening a new Visa and making a purchase? Right? Mine took a couple of weeks as well.

Yes, that is what I was talking about. Thank you everyone for your responses. The gift card came today which was not quite 2 weeks. Now if I can get my mypoints gift cards I will be all set.
