Disney Visa free dining vs. AP rates

I recently booked the Wilderness Lodge for a week at the end of August with the Disney Visa free dining! I was quite pleased with the price $2569. That is 6 nights, free dining plan (not the deluxe), standard woods view- and 2 day passes for me, my husband and son (4). We will upgrade these passes to fla resident seansonal passes once we get there.

My question for everyone is do you think that once passholders/fla resident rates come out for the end of August- do you think the rates will be cheaper?? We ultimately would love to stay Comtemporary- Tower- Theme Park view- which was $3500ish with the Disney Visa plan- a ittle out of our budget.

We are in the same boat somewhat. We are booked at POR Garden View with free dining for August. If a fabulous AP rate comes out we'll use that and get the TIW card.
If the rates aren't so great, then we'll stick with what we have and use the 2 day tickets on our AP renewal next Spring.
I'm sorry I don't have answers for you because this is our first year with AP's.
From what I've been researching it's kind of a guessing game what the AP rate will be and what resorts it will cover. I do know from looking at the historical discounts section on Mousesavers that AP rates for our trip dates came out in the end of June last year.
We'll still be more than 45 days out if we need to cancel out current package. As long as they are released in the same time period as last year.

We're in the same boat too - just booked AS Movies for 9 nights, 2 days worth of tickets and "FD" $1458. But if a good AP discount comes out I'm going to run the numbers and see what pans out better for us. I dislike buying more tickets/ keeping track of them but then again they're good forever so no really big loss.
