Disney VISA free dining code QXZ

I just spoke with AAA and they were able to help me. We're traveling on 9/27, and the promo starts the next day. So, they were able to book a room only for 9/27 and have the promotional package start on 9/28. We saved around $500. Yeah!!!! The only problem is that we don't have park tickets for our first day there -- not a huge problem because I wasn't even sure if we were going to feel like going to a park after getting up early for our flight from NY. I also hope that we won't have to vacate our room after the first night, but that would be a minor inconvenience in order to save that much money.

It seems the split stays has happened to quite a few of us. The original AP rates were through Sept 27 and started again on the 28th. That's why we had 2 reservations. I think maybe we will be lucky and not have to move since there are many that will be there on the 27 and 28 so why move us unless they really have to.

WOW! Just booked a Christmas vacation with free dining! Can't believe it!

I can't believe it that they are offering the free dining during Christmas. All I can say is that they must have many, many empty rooms. What a way to fill them up! Lucky you Christmas time is so beautiful at WDW!

I was just quoted $924 for POP std view, 3 nights Dec 18-21, for 2 adults, free dining, with 3 day MYW hoppers. I also got a quote for $1480 at WL woodsview. Both of these seem high for only 3 nights. Does this seem right? :confused3

The reason it seems so high I think is that a 3 day pass is $225.78 each whereas a 6 day pass is only 236.43 each. After 3 days to add additional days is very inexpensive. If you stayed a few more days, you would only pay about 95/night for a value and get the free dining as well as only pay a few dollars for the tickets.

Ok, just got off the phone and was able to book Nov20th-23rd, 2 Preferred Rooms at the All-Star Movies, with 1 Day base tickets, and FREE dining for $1062.48. I can't figure if that includes a room discount. Can anyone help?

You can price the rooms on Disney's website and add the cost for your tickets and if their are any extra person charges. You didn't give enough info to figure it out. (type of tickets, extra people?, number of tickets)

Sorry, 3 Disney adults, 3 children, 1 day base tickets. I will see if I can figure it now.

You can not price out or book two connecting rooms at a resort on the Disney website. That's why I always have to call and get a quote.

Okay, I have a question. I know the Disney free dining code is QXZ, but I saw posts from some other people on another thread about this subject and they were posting Disney free dining codes a QXV and DVL. What do these different codes mean?

Connecting rooms are not guaranteed; all you have to do is price 1 room and double it to figure cost The poster was just trying to check on rates, not book rooms. The reason I suggested just checking online is that it doesn't bother a CM just to figue whether or not a discount exists and it most likey would be quicker online.

We just got a quote for POP for 7n/8d standard room using the code for $1453.60. Is the preferred room worth the extra charge? Also, we found airfare from Ontario CA to MCO for $193 per person. That is $24 less then we paid for nearly 2 years ago. So, it looks like we are going to WDW.:cool1:

p.s. We were originally just going to go to DL for 4 days, but for an additional $1,000 and an extra 4 days we will get WDW.

Actually, because we have 4 children, we were guaranteed connecting rooms. It actually states it on my confirmation e-mail and the nice CM stated that we would be guaranteed it. It does seem I am getting a slight discount, about $90 off the rooms.

That's good. I was just giving you a suggestion as to how to figure out your possible discount. Yes, it appears from what we booked that we are just receiving the value season rate for the entire stay. That's how the small differences are being justified. We saved about 40 for the 2 nights at regular season. Everything helps!

She can most definitely price the two rooms out separately on-line. But if you call and have a CM price the rooms under one reservation, you will most likely get a different price. At least that's what I've found everytime I have tried to do that on the Disney site. I have never considered myself "bothering" a disney CM when I call to get a quote. It's their job. And as for connecting rooms not being guaranteed, we have never been denied connecting rooms for our family of 6. Every invoice I have ever gotten from Disney has always stated in bolt print Connecting Rooms are guaranteed for families. I've seen some posts here on the DIS stating that connecting rooms are not guaranteed, so now everytime I book, I ask if my connecting rooms are guaranteed. Every CM I have ever spoken to has told me that we have a guarantee because all of our children are minors. I'm sure there is some miniscule chance a family could be denied a connecting room if it were during a very busy peak week, but the chances are very small.

I really don't know why this is becoming a debate. All the OP was trying to figure was if a discount was given on the room and they didn't even give the number of people or ages to be able to help and figure it for them. I just suggested an easy way to figure if they had some type of room discount. I don't know why you would get differnet prices for booking 2 of the same exact rooms connecting or not. A room cost is a room cost.

I had a reservation at the WL from Dec 23- Jan 4. I have been trying since yesterday morning to apply the free dining code with no luck. I was getting very discouraged and decided to try again this afternoon. I got the nicest CM who tried, but said it was not available. Then I told her about everyone on these boards that were getting the free dining for Christmas week. She said that she would try some different dates for me. Then she checks from Dec 23- Dec 31 and IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :worship: I WAS SOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: We were so upset that we were unable to apply the AP discount for this week, but now......FREE DINING BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

You are right, every little bit does help. I can use that $90 towards x-mas gifts to take home for the kids. It all works out in the end! :goodvibes
