I have been trying to redeem my certificate for a free companion booking from Disney Visa. When searching for flights, every date I tried stated that there were no flights available at the discount rate. My target dates are in August 2006, but I have tried dates in many months on many different departure and return days to see the results. I have not been able to find ANY date that a flight is available. I find it extremely hard to believe that all dates, up to ten months in advance, are already taken. :confused3 I am very disappointed, as I counted on this discount fare to be able to plan a Walt Disney World trip for this year. I am wondering if this promotion is nothing but talk. Is there anyone out there who has been able to book the discounted fare successfully? Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you!

It's like trying to find a frequent flyer ticket, they are few and far between. You save your miles and then can't use them. I was checking on USAir for FF tickets for the end of October 2006. All they had were late afternoon to FL and early morning returns with connections. You really have to jump on it at 330 days prior to get a good choice for the major airlines (about 11 months). Which airlines can you use it on? Some of the smaller airlines release dates later (Air Tran, Southwest).

Im runnning into the same problem too. I just checked my dates of travel in July and nothing in the 280.00 price was available. When i checked in october nothing was still available.

I searched on and off for a few weeks as well and there was never anything available from 3 of the airports within 175 miles from my home. I suspect like a previous poster said this is probably similar to using frequent flyer miles -there may be 1 or 2 seats per flight at that price...

I have tried all different dates also, even when I got them way back when. I have tried off weeks in many months and nothing. There is an 800 number to call but I think I will try and get a better price from southwest with their ding program. You might want to check southwest when they release the august dates.

I tossed mine in the garbage can. If you know your travel dates you can do better than the offer they gave us by booking it on your own and paying for both flights. I got a Ding from SW last week that was $38.00 each way from BUF to MCO. Maybe in other parts of the country it is worth it, but not here.
