Disney VISA discount packages thru December

Hi All,

I also have been waiting for this code. Called this afternoon. I was orginally staying POFQ- 10/31/07-11/06/07. They didn't have any discounts for POFQ so I switched to CBR for a savings of $445.00. I wasn't going to switch but this year we renting a car , so if the buses don't work out we will just use car. Just couldn't pass up this kind of savings. I called back this evening and they still had POR available and CBR. Not sure if POFQ was included earlier and just sold out or wasn't offered at alll. Has anyone been able get the code discount for POFQ??

I switched tonight also!!!!! I did have AKL Savanna view for 7 nights 8 day MYW + dining + Park Hopper + h2o option and there was no discount for AKL so I switched to Poly GV and saved $426!!!!!! I am soooo excited!

can anyone help a 1st timer going to Disney? We have been married for 6 years, but now that our son is 3 1/2 we decided it was time. I need help with everything!! Since we are still very tight on money we need to be able to save as much as possible. We do have a Disney Visa so that should help with discounts right?

We will be at the WLR in December. Tried twice to see if discount was available to us. First CM told me that WLR was not eligible for the discount.
About five minutes later (new call), another CM told me again that WLR was not available. I had read that POR was available (at least for awhile), but when I called the second time, that wasn't available either. Need two rooms/deluxe -- two adults, four children. Also, right before I hung up -- the CM told me it was for NEW reservations only! Seriously! I did tell her that I had seen somewhere where people were saving $$$ on current reservations and she plainly said "Your are not eligible for this discount, unless you cancel and rebook at a value resort". This was at 2:00 pm and 2:13 pm PST , 08/13. And, yes . . . we are Disney VISA cardholders!

I called again this morning. Still no Contemporary. She did have BC & YC available Nov.15-24. Nothing on the monorail. Oh well, I'm still happy to have a MK view. Not giving it up.

Yes, this discount is for Disney Visa cardholders only. Call today. Thursday it will open up the general public. Call 1-800-828-0228 and tell them that you want to price out a package deal using the Disney Visa code. They will take it from there. Good luck.

We have some friends who are going 9/30 to 10/6 and are booked at Pop Century. I don't think they have a Disney Visa so they can't call till Thursday. I've tried to glance through this whole thread, but I don't see anyone who has gotten the discount for these dates. Has anyone tried for these dates? I bet they might even switch to a moderate or a deluxe if they can get the discount for their week. I'm just curious to see what you guys have heard about availability for this first week of the promotion. Thanks in advance for your help and info!

I am bummed! We have pop from dec1-8, 2 adults 2 kids with ddp. There is not a discount with the visa code. she said the next available was cbr and it ended up being almose $400 more.
Do you think it will change when the public code comes out or is this it? I need to convience my dh to go at christmas and was really hoping that the code would do it.

OOH, I just came SO close, but no cigar. I just got off the phone from trying to get the discount at the Poly Oct 21-27 again today, and he said that one garden view was open, but then it was taken before the CM could get it for me! Congrats to all of you who have saved money! Hope I can get it eventually!

Don't give up. There was a saga attached to us getting the deal on our room. Out TA called and told me all the sorted details of the voodoo that she would have to do in order to get the ressie changed over with the code. She had Disney on hold with a room for us. The only problem was the Gabby had the card with her in Michigan where she is onsite this week for her job. So, I was frantically text messaging to her for the card number. lol Luckily, our TA is super sweet, but Disney hung up. Our TA called Disney again and the CM that she got said that there was no availability at the Poly, but she didn't give up and called back and got it for us!

Please don't give up, if first you don't succeed call back! Maggie

I called early this morning about our stay in November (split stay/room only/POR and BC) to see if I could get the VISA rate any cheaper. (Last night, by the time I called, they were closed--silly time difference! )

Anyway, it would only save me $50, so I decided to wait it out and see if the GP rates on Thursday get me anything better.

The CM I talked to said I'd have to get TWO one-day tickets since there were two in my party. Is that correct? I thought I read somewhere here yesterday that I'd only need to get one.

Is there a chance another discount will come before we leave Nov 27 or should we change to Boardwalk for the discount? Any advice?? We have a theme park view at poly but could save 2000.00 by doing boardwalk. Is the poly and the view worth it? Or should be just change to a gardenview at poly? Anyone, please help!!! Thanks!!

I sent an email for a quote, and Saratoga Springs was the only resort available for my travel dates ~ 10/3 - 10/8. I'm currently holding a ressie at POFQ but I would really like to change to AKL or WL. I'm going to keep trying because guests (including myself) always change ressies once discounts become available

You could take a second trip to Disney this year for $2000. Make the switch FAST!

We are booked at the WL for 11/16 - 11/23. I called yesterday morning and applied the visa code with dining to our ressie. They only had 6 nights available with the discount so our last night is a room only without dining. But we saved almost $700.00 and I am positive 2A, 2K can eat on less that for one day! The CM I spoke to said to keep trying to add the 7th night but this morning it still isn't available - I'll keep trying!

This code took our cost from $4133 to $3440!

I was able to use the code today but had to switch from Poly to BC. As much as I was looking forward to staying at Poly (had it reserved since last September) an $800 savings was too good to pass up.
