Disney VISA discount packages thru December

Hi everyone!

Thank you DISboards!!!! My TA added the code to my already existing ressies at the Poly GV for 9 nights with dining. We saved 1,053.00 and my card also saved my parents the same amount of money.

She said she got a confirmation number and she should get it sent to her by morning. I will feel better when I see it in writing. Wow!!

Looks like I will be doing a little extra shopping!!

Can someone give me the phone number - do I call a general number or my resort directly? (I'm staying at Wilderness Lodge) Also, what do I say? I am new to all of this and my TA has taken care of everything for me, but I don't know when she can call me back and I am afraid to wait. Thanks for any help you huys can give me!

Usually when a TA makes a reservation the guest cannot access that ressie because it is booked in another system and really under the agency name - but it would not hurt to try. At least tCRO could tell you if anything is available and tomorrow your TA can try to apply the code to your reservation. 800-828-0228

The CM told me when I was making my changes that they knew something was coming up when all their days off for this week were cancelled and they (Disney) had authorized unlimited OT for the week.

She said this is one of the busiest days of the year so far for WDW reservations and that they system has crashed twice today. She had to take all my info and call me back. She said those who don't have ADR's need to jump on them right away as with these prices w/dining plan they are going to be touch to get. luckily I already had at least one for each day so I am not overly worried about it as we are at CSR and can also use Pepper Market if need be.

I am trying to figure out if I should apply for a Disney Visa immediately. If I do so, can I immediately book a reservation using the Visa? What are some examples of discount that some of you fellow dis boarders have found today? Has anyone been able to upgrade from a moderate to a deluxe with no additional costs?

I'll called to check on that Disney Visa code, and I'm so glad I did :. I already had a room only with the AAA discount and my tickets from UT. The CM ran the numbers for me with a 1 day base ticket (so this would qualify as a package), and I saved $210.51. Here's the break down for those interested:

Our Dates are Oct 11-18

7 night Room Only Reservation @ Pop Century Preferred w/ AAA rate - 743.05

ZQL 7 night Pop Century Standard with two 1 Day MYW Base Tickets - 532.54

Now my question is, since I don't need the 1 Day MYW tickets can I just leave them on the room key for a future trip? I already got a sweet deal on tickets this year from UT before the price increase. These extra 1 day tickets are just icing on the cake for us, if we can upgrade them on a future trip.

I also want to thank all you nice folks here on the Disboards for letting us know (with lightning speed) about the Disney visa code.

I was able to upgrade my reservation from the POP (which we really like, but was not available for the dates we want) to POR -- for a total of $400 in savings! This is with base tickets and the dining plan for 4 people! Wasn't that awesome?

P.S. The nice CM asked me if I wouldn't mind forking over another grand so she could book me at the AKL, to which I replied, "I surely won't mind, but I think my husband would!"

I can't imagine there will be anything left by the time they open it to the general public.

People are switching resorts and cancelling resorts everyday. Don't give up hope. Sometimes the CM you get is just plain wrong so try everyday

I'm more nervous about my next call - I have to convince my husband to go again this year!! It's my 40th BD in November, so I can probably guilt him into it

I am sooo like in your situation, its not even funny (well, yeah it is I'm planning to use our son's 7th bday to guilt mine into it! I wish you good luck!

Some people are reporting 15% off and others as high as 40% off.
I am just wondering ...
We have resevations for the AKL pool view bunkbed for Dec. 19-29 ~ four adults (39,37,15,12) with dinning and 10 day hoppers for $4333. Would I get a better deal with this new code????

Called and got $414 off my package at CSR Dec 1-9. I was surprised because the dates allowed weren't in my time frame. Suppose to not start til the 8th.

We were paying $2589.26 now paying $2175.26. Asked about upgrading and Poly, AKL, WL, BC, and YC were not available. Guess I will keep calling back....

Just got off the phone with my TA and she has called about three different times today (just now again) and she keeps getting told that the code is not good for Wilderness Lodge, courtyard view, dinning plan Nov 24-Dec1 I know I have read where others have gotten the code for WL, I just wonder what is different about my booking, maybe the dates or something. Has anyone else had this trouble or have you had good luck applying the code to the same booking? She is of course going to keep trying, even tonight and all week, hoping if nothing else to get it applied when it goes for the general public, but I am sooooo disappointed

I plan on checking and I'll give it another try for sure when the codes are released to the public.

For now, I went ahead and booked the Dolphin. I can get a teacher rate of $169 and if my 10k points get credited before our arrival to my amex, they said I could get the free night credit as well. I've never stayed anywhere but a Disney resort, but the price is really hard to beat.

We'll only be there 4 nights, just going for the F&W festival and an Epcot resort is an absolute must, so this might be a good chance to try out the Dolphin and see if I can stand not being at a "real" Disney resort.

Then again, if those codes come available......

If you have a Disney visa the only way to find out is to call and ask. You have nothing to lose

OK. I called this AM. I saved a total of $56.25. Why not more? My stay is at the Poly 19-25 Dec. 2007. Shouldn't I have gotten more of a discount? Was only one day of my ressie allowed? I say this because the 19th is the only value season day. Can someone help me to understand?
