Disney VISA discount packages thru December

This may be a crazy question, but do you have to book with your disney visa to get the discount? Otherwise, how do they know you have one? Do they check when you get there? Thanks!

On the email I got, it says

For reservations between 8/13 and 8/15, a deposit must be made at the time of booking using your Disney Rewards Visa Card.

So to get the early bird you have to use your Disney Visa. On the 16th you can use any I would guess, but if you want the 6 months 0% you'll need to put the deposit and the balance on your Disney Visa.

Edit: BUT, if you are applying for a NEW visa card account, they were (dont know if they still are) giving 6 billing cycles interest free with a new signup, so you could pay for your vacation now, using any discounts you can find, not book thru WDW and still 'technically' get 6 billing cycles free interest..

My TA at DreamsUnlimited applied the new Visa discount code to my existing reservation for the BC Oct. 19-24. She saved me an additional $517! Not bad......wonder what I can do with the extra $517? Perhaps Food and Wine.........:cool1:

Today I applied and got instant approval but I need to book online in order to use the card. Does anyone know how to get the discount online?

Lyn

You have to book your package online then call WDW to apply the code, tell them that you just applied, booked and put the down payment on the ressie online but are now calling in to apply the code since you don't have a CC number yet. They let me, but it may depend on your CM.

Thanks for the info. I just tried and the GF doesn't have any discounted rooms available.:confused3

As of earlier, I could get BWI for a little less than what I have a res. at WL for. I wouldn't change just to save the money, but I would if BWI is a nicer place to stay. Obviously, in the beginning it cost a good bit more to stay there than at WL but with the code, now it's cheaper. I don't know where to stay now. We are going Nov. 24 - Dec.1. I have a 6 yr. old daughter and I know WL is closer to MK, but I think we will be all over the place. Any suggestions, without the monetary factor? Thanks

Hi All,

I also have been waiting for this code. Called this afternoon. I was orginally staying POFQ- 10/31/07-11/06/07. They didn't have any discounts for POFQ so I switched to CBR for a savings of $445.00.:cool1: :cool1: I wasn't going to switch but this year we renting a car , so if the buses don't work out we will just use car. Just couldn't pass up this kind of savings. I called back this evening and they still had POR available and CBR. Not sure if POFQ was included earlier and just sold out or wasn't offered at alll. Has anyone been able get the code discount for POFQ??

Hey :cool1:

I had to switch also. I had POFQ originally but there was nothing available. I had to switch to POR. I just couldn't pass up the savings. That's $300 towards spending money!!

I would jump on the Boardwalk if I were you. The Epcot area just can't be beat IMO! You have access to two parks. I feel the boat transportation to MK from WL is overrated. It is a long walk to the boat dock for one, then it takes even longer than the bus would take from the Boardwalk..most times. Plus, being up at WL puts you pretty far from the other three parks. It is a VERY nice resort, don't get me wrong and you would be happy there, but the Boardwalk just has SO much more to offer!

The Visa discount wasn't available on the Family suites at ASMu (10/20-26th), so we switched to 2 connecting rooms, with 7 day park hoppers (all 3 of my DDs are considered "adults" now by Disney ticket standards), for 1990.79. I figure the rooms are costing about $55 a night each. Not bad!:)

All Disney Visa cards start with the same 8 digits, so they know it is one or not.

The deposit would require a guest using their Disney VISA card to pay the deposit (or pay for the package depending on when your tarvel dates are). They can tell if you are using your Disney VISA card by the card number.

For those wondering why they are saving only $50 or so -- I am guessing the travel dates are during Christmas/holiday week. And the new way of figuring nightly rates comes into play.

What is the percentage off with this disney visa code ????
Some people are reporting 15% off and others as high as 40% off.
I am just wondering ...
We have resevations for the AKL pool view bunkbed for Dec. 19-29 ~ four adults (39,37,15,12) with dinning and 10 day hoppers for $4333. Would I get a better deal with this new code????
Thanks for any help ...

I got $280 back for a 4 night stay at POP. Doesn't that seem HIGH?? That is what the savings was though.

Thanks for the heads up on this code!!! I was able to change from POP to CSR for Thanksgiving week for only $2.00 more!!!

Can't wait to see CSR, we have never been there.!!

From what I can tell from looking at everyone's posts, the discount makes standard rooms at the values about $49/night before tax (about $55 with tax) and the standard rooms at moderates about $99/night before tax. It doesn't matter if it is value or regular season (holiday season may be different, though). I didn't figure out the deluxes.

So, if you had a standard room at a value in regular season ($99/night), you can now upgrade to a moderate for free. I had POP in value season ($82/night), so for me to upgrade with the discount, I'd have to pay an extra $17/night plus tax. I chose to stay at POP and got $261 back (7 night stay). If you had a preferred room at a value in value season ($94/night), you can upgrade for about $5/night plus tax. Etc.

So, it all depends on the season and type of room you had/have.

Please share how you got the code to work for you during Thanksgiving week and I was told it was blacked out during that time Congrats on your upgrade!

I think alot of it has to do with what CM you are talking to. Keep trying to call back, you will get a new one each time and I bet one that will tell you it's available.

I was able to get this with the first one I spoke with. I did use the 800 number, and my dates are 11/17 - 11/24.

From what I have read, many CM's are telling people different things about which resorts are available, and which dates are available.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.:thumbsup2

Just curious.

Did anyone get the discount with any other room in the GF then Garden View?
