I am doing the math to see if the dining plan will be worth it for our trip in November. We have a Disney visa and it says you get 10% off at certain restaurants. Has anyone used this discount? Was it straightforward? Did you have any problems getting it honored?

Nope, simple as can be. Just tell them and pay with the card. You can find a list on many sites of the restaurants you can get the discounts at.

Here you go:

It's not a lot of locations but it's better than nothing!

Thank you. Have you tried it with any fantasmic packages? Is it valid on those also?

Here's the fine print:

I read the terms and wasn't sure. I guess best bet is to not count on the discount. Thanks for the help

I think the F! package is considered "another promotion." Don't commit me to that strongly.

Also, make sure you use the physical card, rather than linking it to your MB and paying with that. The CM at AKL who checked us in reminded me of that. And yes, make sure you tell the server. Although, one night we ate at Jiko and I honestly just plain forgot to even say anything, but our eagle-eyed server noticed it (he told me later that the Yoda card had caught his eye, but he'd never seen a Disney Visa with Yoda on it and only noticed after he looked a little closer) after he'd printed the ticket and made quick work of redoing the ticket to reflect the discount.

I was wondering the same thing! Has anyone tried it at WCC? On Touring Plans, it says the discount is only for lunch, but it looked like the only restriction from the Visa information was for specific dates/holidays. We're doing dinner, not lunch, so was curious...

You can also ask for the discount at the restaurants listed above if you are using your Disney Visa rewards dollars, too. So that is even more of a bargain!!!

yeah Cape may??? I will be happy about that for sure! Hope someone can verify that!

Thank you, I completely forgot about this discount. We'll be eating at Cape May and Captain's Grille in August, may as well save 10%.

Kona is a definitely a recent addition!! I already have a dinner there booked so I am excited about that!
