Disney Visa discount after you book without?

I already booked my trip for April without the Disney visa, then applied for it last week (and was approved).

If a Disney visa discount code comes out, can I apply it to this current reservation or do I have to cancel and then re-book with the code? I don't want to have to pay the change fee if the code comes out after the 45 day window.

They will just modify the reservation. If you do change it within the 45 day mark though there will be a $50 change fee if the package price goes down
