jsut got the Disney credit card and wanted to know if I was to use it to purchase park tickets is there a discount on tickets?

You will earn rewards points with your card that you can redeem towards Disney purchases, but there is no additional discount for tickets.

No discounts but you will earn the 1% or 2% (if you have the premiere card).
