Disney Visa Checks

Do others who have the Disney Visa receive checks at least once a week? I am really tired of receiving these. I shred them the minute they arrive, but it makes me nervous that they send these through the mail. All someone would have to do is write one and the amount would go on my Visa account. Chase is so kind as to put my credit limit amount at the top of each sheet of checks, so the crooks would know what they have to work with.

Is is possible to get these things stopped without closing the account? I don't mind calling customer service, but I hate waiting on the phone for twenty minutes just to be told it isn't possible.

Yes, just call cs and ask to not receive them anymore. It should take up to 90 days to no longer receive them. As for getting them every week? They usually send promo checks once a month. Perhaps you have more than one acct?

Thanks, I'll call them. I do get the checks on more than one account from Chase. I had a different account before I got the Disney Visa. Even though I've asked them to close the old account almost three years ago, I still get checks. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to reopen the account if I wrote a check. Maybe this is a way to finally get rid of that account!

I used to get them all the time from Chase on both of my Disney Visa and my SWA Visa. But like the other poster said just call them. I called them and told them not to send anymore out unless I requested them (which I wont). I was also leary about them floating threw the mail.

I have one Chase acct and get sent the checks once a week. It is starting to get old. But I just run them through the shredder.

Like others have said, I just called and requested them to stop. No more checks! It really works, I cancelled over a year ago and I've gotten them once, which isn't bad IMO.
