I just applied for a Disney Visa. I got a $200 credit on my park tickets which is awesome! With the card it says you can do a special meet and greet at Epcot near Innovations. Has anyone done this meet and greet? What characters did you meet? Thanks for any info!

We have done this our past couple of trips. We met 2 characters from a combination of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, or Goofy. It is typically a short (3-4 families) wait, and GREAT interaction (5+ minutes).

You can do one every day, and the photo center across from Spaceship Earth will actually print out a 5x7 for you. There are specific hours when it is open, so make sure you check that ahead of time. I want to say it is 11-6, but it has been a year since we have gone so that may have changed...

There is supposed to be a Star Wars one coming to DHS next year as well!

Yes, we did. We loved it. It was July and the building was nice and cool. There were also some video games to occupy the children, although the wait was only about 10 minutes. We saw Mickey and Goofy, our friends who went later saw Minnie and Pluto. It was a wonderful character experience and our pic turned out great!

Minnie and Pluto, we do it every time we visit and it's always been the same. They may change the characters out but we haven't seen that. There's also going to be a new meet and greet for Disney VISA card holders at HS next year featuring StarWars characters.

We did it in May with our friend when we were there for her bachelorette party. Mickey and Goofy made a huge deal over her. It was a great interaction and awesome pictures that they took with our cameras of our whole group.

We always walk by and have never done it because of the 60+ minute wait. Is there a special line for card holders as I have never noticed one.

I think you mean the one close to The Land pavilion. That one typically has longer waits, especially in the afternoon, and has a FP+ line. The Disney Visa one is inside the Innovations building on the opposite side, somewhat "hidden"- or at least a lot more inconspicuous! We have never waited more than about 20 minutes for this meet and greet, and we always go in summer when crowd levels are high.

Times are 1 to 7. (Looked it up for myself the other day) :)

That would be awesome!

The characters are always changing
We had Mickey and Goofy 2 weeks ago
Before that we had Minnie and Pluto
It probably just who they have the most working that day
It has great interactions
It is never crowded now that it's the only thing left open in Innovations

We finally went earlier this year with four adults and still had a great time! Minnie and Pluto were there and made a fuss over Mom and Dad's birthday buttons (they're in the same week). As someone who enjoys characters, I'd recommend using your card to stop at least once each trip. Don't forget to bring the actual card, though! Having it linked to your MagicBand doesn't work to gain access.

The line is usually very short. The characters are behind a curtain so you don't have a lot of people hanging around just watching. In November we saw Minnie and Pluto on our first visit. The 2nd time we went to EPCOT we saw Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.

I just looked at our pictures. We had Memory Maker and there are 19 pics from our first meeting and 17 pics from our 2nd greeting. My 12 year old wanted a picture of just him and Pluto, we got that pic, then Minnie quietly went back over....Pluto is covering his eyes as Minnie is planting a kiss on the 12 year olds cheek....he was a little embarrassed!

Since only one family is allowed behind the curtain at a time, and you know there aren't hundreds of people waiting, you don't feel as rushed and you can take some great pictures without all these people giving you the death stare as you "waste" their time!!!

We've done it for many years and have never ever waited for 60+ minutes. You do have to remember to pick up your free picture the same day. Also, it is one free picture per Visa card per day, but if you are in Epcot on different days, you can get another free one.

Never noticed it then...haha thanks for the info!

The Star Wars meet & greet is supposed to have Vader and possibly others. I think that will be cool. It's nice to be adding so many neat benefits to the card.

I went twice and both times it was Mickey and Goofy.
The first time I waited about 5 minutes and the second no one was there and I was alone so it was walk right in. Mickey came out first from his break and as I was talking to him Goofy snuck up behind me. Seriously startled me.

I really would like to see Minnie and Pluto on my next visit. I'm gonna try to go more than once on that visit. We'll see.
I think it's a nice perk.

I went for the first time in January and it was Minnie and Pluto, with maybe two families in front of us. It was so nice being in a separate area without other people looking at you.

And at least on that day, the photo place was open til park close. I think I had our picture printed at about 8:58 pm after rushing back to Epcot from doing the fireworks dessert party at MK that night.

I'm so excited for the Star Wars meet! But my trip next year is the first week in January so I doubt I'll be seeing it then.

What are the times for the characters? I have never done this but since DGD is going this year this would be a good time to do it. If you miss picking up your picture will it still be available the next day?
