The other photo locations are not supposed to accept the Chase Disney Visa vouchers. You got lucky that they accepted it and even luckier that they let you pick a photo not taken in the Disney Visa room.

We asked at the Epcot photo place and they just told us to go to any other photo place that was convenient for us. I don't think the guys at DTD even knew where the photo was supposed to have been taken - they didn't ask any questions or anything, just scrolled through our 2,000+ photos till we saw it. Whatever - that was the photo we wanted and got anyway. Just thought it'd be useful noting that it MIGHT be an option. The line at Epcot can get long.

In April we had Minnie/Pluto one day and Minnie/Mickey/Goofy the other day--which happened to be DD11's birthday! The characters have always been great. They dance with the kids, notice the clothes you're wearing if it's a Disney character.

You're given a free 5x7 voucher that is supposed to be used that day at the camera place by Spaceship Earth. They usually say the photos will be available in an hour. At the camera shop you can pick a border for the picture, add the character's autographs to it, add 'happy birthday' or some other saying. It's a great perk!

Last year we had Mickey & Goofy. This year (two weeks ago) we had Pluto. We only saw a long line one time so we came back later and walked right in!

I think you mean the one close to The Land pavilion. That one typically has longer waits, especially in the afternoon, and has a FP+ line. The Disney Visa one is inside the Innovations building on the opposite side, somewhat "hidden"- or at least a lot more inconspicuous! We have never waited more than about 20 minutes for this meet and greet, and we always go in summer when crowd levels are high.

When we were there we had to show the CM our card, there was nothing electronic in there/no system to check anything I just quickly took out my card. I don't think she even really looked at it but it is Tink so she probably saw enough to know it was a Disney card.
