Disney Visa Character Meet and Photo

the last trip we took the pics, but never got back to pick up the free print. Alas... we did get a REALLY cute one of DD dancing with Minnie. I ordered it on the Photopass though... didn't want to miss it. :lovestruc

Yes, the pics are on your PP account. We had several pictures, including some funny candid shots of Minnie getting all cozy with DH :)

We've done this many times. Just went last month and got in line when it opened and the wait was around 5 minutes. We got our picture with Minnie and Goofy and they were so cute with my husband and me. Minnie kissed and hugged my husband and Goofy kissed my hand and hugged me. Super cute!! I agree the lighting isn't the greatest, but hey it's free!! And yes you have to show your Disney Visa card.

Enjoy The Magic!!

I always seem to forget to do this when we are in EPCOT! Do you get your photo taken with all the characters that are there at once or is it individual pictures? Ex: Minnie, Mickey, and Pluto are there, they are all 3 in the same picture? I have seen pics people have posted before and it looks like in some you visit each character individually...

We've attempted to do it a couple times but there is always a crazy ridiculous line before it even opens. It's not worth it to me to waste an hour in line for a free picture...

I think it just depends on the timing.

We went every time we were in Epcot during that time slot (usually 3 or 4) and never waited more than 5 minutes during our May trips.

Last trip we went late Sept/early Oct and every time we stopped in the line was excessive and we figured it wasn't worth it. We only wound up doing it once and that was because that day my grandfather joined us, so we really wanted pictures of 4 generations with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. :goodvibes

Hopefully the crowds won't be bad for our trip in a few weeks. My kids are not big on meeting characters, but they always love this one. I think it's because it's private and they also love the surprise of walking around the corner and seeing who's there.

If it looks busy when it first opens, try again a little later in the set. I've found we get more interaction than usual with the characters at this M&G (perhaps because the characters are sequestered from the line?). We've done this twice and the first time we got Minnie and Mickey (and some really great shots of them admiring my fSIL's engagement ring); the second time it was Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy. It's 1 picture per account per day (we had four different accounts, so we got four free pictures)--plus all the shots go on your photopass account. You have to redeem your free photo in Epcot on the day it was taken.

If you're in California, it works slightly differently. It's at DCA in the morning (I think 30 mins after the park opens for 1.5 hours, but double check, it may have changed with the Carsland adjustments to the operating schedule). I think it's either Pluto or Chip and Dale. There you get a voucher that's good for *any character photo* on your photopass account from either park for a week. (So for example, we had 2 cards with us at the time, got our pictures with Chip and Dale on Feb 29, and on Mar 1 got a print of us with Goofy and a print from the Chip and Dale M&G in DL park).

Just wanted to note that it's one per account (not per card) per day.

DH & I both have a card, but they're the same account.

When we have travelled with relatives we were able to get as many vouchers as we had different accounts. You can use each voucher to get a different photo (they take several shots especially if you have kids) or you can get multiple copies of your favorite.

One voucher per card (assuming they have a different number) per day.

I have 3 Disney Visa Chase cards and I get 3 vouchers per each day I visit EPCOT and do the pictures!

Thanks for your answers.

They are 4 separate accounts.
I have a debit card on my private acct and my joint acct that I just called to switch to the Disney debit cards.

My husband has a Disney Visa credit card, as do I. Separate accounts but we each are authorized as users on the other so we each have two cards with our names on them. So 4 total vouchers. Awesome. Now if only I can convince DH to switch his private acct debit to a Disney card... hehe

Is there a limit on how many family members can enter for one picture? My parents (who are traveling with us) have a card. Will they allow my family of 4 to enter on their account too?

We have done it a few times. Once we were able to get a picture with Pluto and a few times with Mickey.

It is really easy to do and takes just a minute or so. I would recommend it. you can use your photo pass there also.

I am wondering about this too. We only have one account (mine) but my parents will be with us one the trip. Will they be allowed to join our family of 5 for the pictures? I understand there would only be 1 free photo.

We have one account--one card- We took our whole party in to grab the photo- there were 8 of us

I believe it says 6 on the Visa website (at least it did in the past), but they do not seem to enforce this limit. We have travelled with my parents and grandfather (group of 7 or 8) and they said we were fine to go in together.

Like others have said, we went in the middle of the times offered and only had to wait for a couple of families to go ahead of us. The first day, we were able to let DS play with the characters (Minnie & Goofy both times) and didn't feel rushed at all. The next day, the Photopass photographer seemed like he was trying to hurry us along a bit, but the characters continued to "ask" us questions about how old DS was, how many years we were celebrating for our anniversary, etc. and the photographer calmed down. It was a great experience both times, and we look forward to doing it again this year!

Awesome, I am signing up for one today!

Haha- I forgot about that ticker- headed back in December :)

Has anyone used this recently? I saw times were 1-7 pm on rewards website. That is a lot longer than previously reported. So checking in for more info.

Still at Innoventions West ?
