We did the Disney Visa Character Meet and Greet last Saturday, July 16. We were leaving Epcot and passing by Innoventions West, and I said to dh, "I just want to check something out in here." So we went in and a CM directed us to the meet and greet spot, which is behind a big curtain. I'm so glad we did it! We had Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy all to ourselves and they spent at least 10 minutes posing for picture after picture. We got a free 5 x 7 and purchased several others. It's not the discounted package rate or room rate I would have liked from my Disney Visa, but it's definitely a nice little perk.

did you happen on this by chance or read about it somewhere? I can't seem to remember anything like that mentioned in my monthly bill packet :confused3 :earsboy: ::MinnieMo :earsboy: ::MinnieMo

I got an email about it, and it was also mentioned on the boards. Anyway, dzneelvr, the meet and greet is at Innoventions West from 1:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m. As of now, it's every day, but this may change. All you need to do is show your Disney Visa. I hope you get to take advantage of it!

I had an e-mail telling me about it and I also seen it when I checked our account online.

I can't wait to do this in September!

I wonder if they always will have Mickey, Minnie and Goofy there or if they change them out...... Is there a sign outside of where you go into to see them, to let you know the times and stuff?

What date did they start doing this? :confused3 We left WDW on july 16th for home, I didn't know anything about it.

WOW - Thanks for posting regarding this meet & greet! I remember seeing something in my emails or statement about this, but didn't pay it much attention. We will be there in 3 weeks and will check this out!

I think there is a sign, but I don't think it has the times on it. And there is a CM standing out there too. Walk in the front door of Innoventions West, go around to your right and you will see it.

We were there yesterday. There was no sign, we asked a cast member and got directions and were treated so kindly! It was as if they couldn't wait for Disney Visa card holders to get there! When we went behind the curtains, Mickey and Pluto were there and posed for pictures with us. The PhotoPass people kept telling us to take our time. They took PhotoPass pictures and also took pictures for us with our camera. They gave us a certificate that we took to the Epcot Camera Center (next to Spaceship Earth) and we received a free 5 x 7 of our choice. It was a very nice!

Is this ongoing, or just for a certain time? Won't be going until possibly Dec., would like to see it though. :bounce:

It ends 9/30.....2006..note the 6 not a 5, I didn't look at it properly at first so I felt very silly when my husband pointed that out mid sulk!!!!

Thats right I forgot about this! I'll have to write it into my itinerary while we are at Epcot. Who can pass up a FREE photo??!! :3dglasses

Does anyone know how strictly they're enforcing the 6 people per card limit? We will have 7 in our party in a couple of weeks. Both my husband and I have cards, so I guess we could technically have 12, but I'm hoping if it's not busy, they won't quibble about an extra person. Anyone have experiences with large groups?

Thanks,
Mur!

I would like to know this too, as I have 6 kids. I would be happy to just have the kids get the picture, but I would like to know if they will let us all in. Sounds like they are beind extremely nice in general, so I hope that carries over to us bigger families!
