I didn't know until recently that Disney Visa card holders who pay for their entire cruise using their Disney Visa can get a $50 onboard beverage credit for their cruise. Since I booked onboard last year I had no clue what card I used to make my initial down payment so I called Disney and asked if they could verify the card and unfortunately I didn't use my Disney Visa.

What I did want to mention is that DCL was able to refund all oprevious payments and charge the same amount to my Disney Visa making me eligible for the $50 beverage credit so if you have a Disney Visa and for some reason are not sure if you made all payments on that card, give them a call and they should be able to help you out.

Thanks for sharing, we didn't realize we had to pay for the entire cruise with it to get the credit. Have been doing the math trying to figure out which card to use to get the most out of it, Costco was winning with higher rewards for travel, but that credit pushes the Disney Visa over.

Just wanted to offer too - the promo must be added by DCL so make sure if you go this route you call DCL directly or have your TA call to apply it after the last payment is made with the Disney Visa. Once this is done, your reservation details will show confirmation of the Disney Visa $50 OBC for beverages.

If your booking is an oboard booking you will not be able to get the $50 OBC for Disney Visa - only 1 OBC is allowed and the onboard booking OBC is greater.

Oh, dear - does that mean OP lost their OBB perks? Yikes.

No...the disney visa beverage voucher is applied once the cruise is paid in full (which I haven't done yet). I just wanted to mention that if someone wanted the offer but made a payment on another card that they would cancel the previous transaction(s) and add it to your Disney Visa to make you eligible. I didn't realize the offer could not be combined with my OBB but I certainly won't want to lose my OBB.

Our last cruise had an OBC from booking onboard previously, and I also paid for the cruise with my Disney Visa. The person I spoke with when I paid the cruise off said that you only get one OBC, and the system gave me the OBB one because it was the better credit.

Just to clarify this... one 1 OBC is allowed that comes direct from Disney. The OBB credit is from Disney, the Disney Visa credit is from Disney (not Chase). You can have more than 1 OBC if one comes from a TA or other source (gifted from grandma, etc.).
