Doesn't direct DVC membership give you the same perks? Disney Premier gives you 2% for gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most Disney U.S. locations. There are other/better options to satisfy the 2% except for Disney US locations. I have annual dues for 300 direct points at Riviera that is charged to the Disney card. I don't need loans. If I get rid of the Disney Premier, I lose out on the 2% for the dues and ALL Disney purchases correct? That might justify the $49 annual fee.

By annual dues do you mean maintenance fees?

If so, you can pay maintenance fees with discounted gift cards which historically have been more than a 2% discount (plus there are flat 2% cash back card that could also be used).
