I'm going to be paying entirely for my parents' cabin on our February cruise as a present to them. I'll be using my Disney Visa Check Card (same benefits) to pay for their cabin as well as mine - and linking the cabins. I know I have to tell the rep in advance that I've paid with the Disney Visa and want the credit - I believe it's DCC?

Does each cabin get the credit? And can I move the one from theirs to mine? I'm ONLY asking about moving it because they don't drink and wouldn't be using it for anything.

Alternatively I *might* be bumping us to a 1-BR concierge - would the credit automatically (after I tell them of course) be on my card as I'll be the primary guest on the reservation?

Thanks!

I believe the onboard drink credit is one per reservation. Each room is it's own reservation. I don't think you can move "their" OBC to your account. If you all wind up on one room (one reservation) you'd only get one $50 credit.

As to the "they don't drink" thing - it is applicable to any purchased beverages, not just alcoholic ones. This would include the specialty coffees in Cove Cafe, or even sodas, if ordered from a lounge or poolside/theater server. As well as sodas from room service.

Gotcha, thanks. They don't really do any of those. My dad might have a glass of wine occasionally - maybe we'll just use theirs to buy a bottle for us to share. :)

Well, the drink charges go to whatever KTTW card is presented, regardless of whose drink it actually is. Just use his/her card once in a while for drinks.

On our cruise in April this year, I booked two cabins and everything was under my name with me being responsible for the costs. Each cabin received the credit.

The Disney Visa beverage credit is per stateroom with a maximum of 2 staterooms. But as PP says, I don't think you can move both credits onto the same stateroom account. I'd suggest finding something to purchase as a group (like a bottle of wine or something), or have your drink at dinner charged to their stateroom if they won't be using it.

Small print from the website shows the current offer is only through 12/30/2016, but it is usually extended each year. However, it could be tweaked (like when it changed to cover just beverages). You probably cannot have it applied to your reservations until the offer is officially extended for 2017 cruises -- probably sometime this fall. The offer code is DCC.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks! I noticed the date too. I'll keep an eye on it on the benefits site.

We had two rooms this past fall and received 2 credits. We used it to buy bottled waters for the room. I think it can also be used to pay for the tastings/mixology classes (let you know next month!). Maybe your folks could 'gift' you one of those somehow. If you're at dinner together, couldn't they buy you a glass of wine knowing it would be deducted from the credit?

I asked about the Disney Visa credit when I booked my 2017 cruise. I was told that there was no code for 2017 at that time. I'm not sure when the next year's code is released.
