I just applied for the Disney Visa card and received a quik response back that I would be notified within 30 days if I was approved. Is this just their was of saying I was not approved or is it not an instant approval process?

Just wondering because I have pretty good credit and don't know why they would deny me.

You know it is so hard to say with the credit card companies these days. I was at Gap Kids this weekend and applied for their card and I didn't get the instant approval and we have near perfect credit. The lady says that it happens all the time and then in a couple of weeks you will have a card in the mail. She said people's credit reports get flagged for so many things (information being STOLEN from our CC companies, banks, etc.) so instant approvals aren't what they used to be.

I do remember when I got my Disney Visa about 2 years ago though I did get an instant credit.

I applied and got the same email response. Then, about 10 days later, I got my new Visa card!!

Thanks for the quick responses.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get it. :thumbsup2

I applied for a Disney Visa and got the same response you did. I received my card within 2 weeks. This was in May of this year.

Only time I ever got instant approval was at a store...anytime I filled out an app. online, I'd get a notice similar to what you stated...then a week or so later the card was in the mail. Did you apply for this online?

Now is this just another Visa but with a Disney logo or does it have some sort of benefits/perks? My Fiance keeps going on about how she wants me to get a Disney credit card but I don't want to just open another account because she likes the card. I have 2 credit accounts and don't need another...if anything maybe I would consider replacing my current Visa with this one, but is it even worth it?

It has perks. 1% of what you put on it comes back on a Disney Reward Card that can be used for Disney things. You also can get discounts for different things. A few weeks ago if you signed up under a Disney Card holder they and you would get $25.00 bonus but I am not sure what the bonus is right now. I like the card as I know I am saving for Disney as I pay for doctor bills or groceries. :) I am hoping that I can pay for one park hopper pass for 7 days for one of us before we leave with the money I save through the card.

PS. I went and checked the Disney Card offer and it is still the Be rewarded Together Incentive. $25.00 to you and $25 to a Disney Card Holder that referrs you
