Disney Visa and Paypal

Has anyone else had this problem?

I just got my new Disney Visa card and decided to break it in with some ebay purchases. After I paid with Paypal, I checked my new account balance online, and I noticed that both purchases were listed as "pending" and that they were increased by $1 each by Chase. I double checked my Paypal receipts and they were correct, so it looks like the error is on Chase's side. Should I not panic yet because the charges are still pending, and wait to see if they straighten themselves out before the statement is processed? I also charged some costumes from Disneydirect and that charge came through OK, so I'm stumped. Is there a hidden fee somewhere? I never had a problem with using Paypal with my other credit card.

Yes...don't panic yet. Just check your bill when you get it or when the charges post officially.

I called Chase the other day and called DisneyDirect because there were two charges for my one order. Both were pending. One is the actual charge and the other is what the approximate charge was going to be. When the actual charge is posted to the account, the other one will disappear. In your case, the correct amount should appear on your bill.

Within the past week I got a statement of changes by Chase; one of which was if you use a 3rd party payee and they charge a fee it would be charged as a cash advance. That doesn't stat until October, I think. So, don't panic yet. I'm still not sure exactly what the statement they sent me all means, but since it was from Chase, I am pretty sure it isn't favorable to the consumer!
