Disney Visa and fraud

For the fourth time in a year my Disney Visa has been flagged for fradulent use. I've never had this many problems with any other visa. Anyone else find this problem with their Chase Disney Visa?

Yes, I have had several choice conversations with Chase over their fraud policy. Twice, they have denied my disney gift card charges at Kroger, even though I have purchased the same gift cards from the same store with the same disney visa for years.

Just remember that this is a CHASE issue not a DISNEY issue. Disney does nothing on the handling of the card.

I have 2 Chase Visas, one of them Disney. I use the Disney one constantly for anything & everything that I can. I've never had a fraud issue or freeze of any kind put on them. I think Chase has sent me an email 2 or 3 times if I charged something that seemed suspicious to them. But, even with those, I just needed to hit a link in the email to confirm that I made the purchase.

Chase gets hacked on occasion..they usually take care of it without issue though- it happened in a big way last year.

Last November, my Disney card was potentially compromised, so I had they replace it. Then it actually got hacked (the new one) Since I was about to travel to Disney, I used my Chase SouthWest visa while there. It was hacked at Disney.

Anyway, this November, I got hacked again. The good news is that now I have a cute picture of Mickey and Pluto on the back of my card!

I used my Disney Chase VISA for everything and never had a problem. I used my amazon Chase off and on and that one has had issues at least 4 times in the past 5 years. Twice i've caught the charges on my bill that I didn't make and twice that I remember, they sent me new cards because it had been used at a business that had been hacked, as a precaution.

OP here, sounds like it happens more often than I thought. I am happy Chase is on top of fradulent charges, just odd that it keeps happening to one Visa. I had a SW Visa and used both cards often but only the Disney one had problems.

I've had both my SW Visa and Disney Visa hacked (or whatever) numerous times, especially the SW as that is the one I use most frequently. I have a couple of BofA ccs that I never use and they've never been hacked. I think it probably has a little to do wtih how much you use the card, but Chase cards seem to be more prone to it IME. However, that's the world today, as I've had my PayPal, iTunes, and Groupon accounts hacked as well.

I have always heard about people getting hacked after visiting Disney resorts. Well I just joined the ranks. I use my Disney Visa for everything, after my Oct trip I came home and not a week later I had 2 fraudulent charges for tires. Called Chase and they took care of them. First time it ever happen to us.

I've been hacked after Disney as well. I've also had my cell phone number sold to travel companies when I've left it for the text for the room number. So I don't leave that any more either. It's a lot easier to change out a credit card than it is to stop telemarketing calls!

I got denied this time last year when I was trying to purchase train tickets for holiday travel. It was a bit embarrassing and oddly enough I have two Chase Disney Visas. One was rejected so I used the other and that worked (one platinum, one regular). I was a little put off at first because I was getting denied for a relatively small purchase (it was $300) and when I called about it they said it was because Amtrak was putting the charge through from Washington DC and I was in MA. No problem, they confirmed it was me and and unlocked the card. Besides a bit of embarrassing frustration no harm done. Fast forward 2 weeks later and I got an email about potential fraudulent charges and indeed they were and for much more. Someone was trying to use my card to pay for their vacation over seas. It was then that I decided the Amtrak debacle was worth it, even if still weird that one Chase Disney card allowed it while the other didn't. Well, just today I tried to purchase a Christmas gift from England (authentic soccer jersey) and I got denied. I went to my email and saw a fraud email, I had to click yes it was me or no it was not. I clicked yes, tried the transaction again and voila. I also got denied at the gas station when I was trying to fill up my rental car to come back home from Disney last year. When I got to the airport and connected to wifi I discovered they had emailed me as well so this year when I was going to Disney I went online and entered my vacation dates so they knew I was in FL, not MA, so as to not flag my account. I didn't end up using the card during the trip but the process was pretty simple online and I am glad I did it just in case because I wasn't really checking emails and wouldn't have seen the yes/no one from Chase.

My Disney Chase is declined each time I purchase Disney Annual passes., for "fraud". It's really annoying and embarrassing. Now I call them before I get in line and tell them NOT to decline my purchase.

I had a Chase Sapphire that got hacked so many times I gave up and closed the account. Sometimes it would get hacked/used before the replacement card even arrived in the mail. I'm pretty sure they have some "inside job" security problems. (I'm extremely careful with my card use, and like I said, replacement cards would get hacked before I even had them in hand.)

I finally gave up and cancelled that card. A few months later I applied for a new one (after two years you qualify for the sign up bonus), and it never got hacked again.

None of my other Chase cards were affected. Weird stuff.

That's quite disturbing. Do you think someone was stealing/tampering with your mail? The cards would have to be activated to be used.
