Yes.

Developer financing approval is not guaranteed. See Disney Vacation Club Public Offering Statement for important information. For new cardmembers, Disney Rewards Visa Card approval is required. If you use your Disney Rewards Visa Card to purchase an additional Disney Vacation Club Ownership Interest, the Daily Periodicc Rate for the first 6 billing cycles following the date of the purchase is a promotional fixed APR of 0% provided that no payment on your account is past due at the time of purchase. The rate will apply to that portion of your initial downpayment or add on purchase price charged to your Disney Rewards Visa Card up to $2,500 or 10% of your total purchase price, whichever is less. Subject to these restrictions, use of your Disney Rewards Visa Card for Disney Vacation Club initial downpayment or add on purchases are subject to the same terms and conditions, including rate and fees, as qualified Disney vacation package purchases. Offer subject to change or cancellation without notice.

thanks.....may have to go for those 25 pts @ BLT now.....I think that is the only way to get to stay there a few days every few years. That would be fine w/us as the kids would enjoy it while they are young.

I did a 30 point add one and my guide broke up the billing to VISA with 2500.00 in one and the rest in a second billing. Both came out 6 months interest free. Which helped because we did not plan on adding on until middle of next year.

from what I read, it looks like you get 10% of the purchase price at 0%. It clearly states "up to $2500 or 10% of purchase price, whichever is less." So, if I add-on 35 points at $100 a point for $3500, I only get $350 finance-free for 6 months---yes or no? I would seriously consider adding on if it was $2500 interest-free for 6 mths!! Am I reading this wrong??? Elaine

You can get all of it 6 months int free if your guide bills it in 2 billings -- you can get 2500 and 1000 for 6 months. This is the second time I have done 30 points and each time it has been the total amount interest free for 6 months with the 2 billings.

I still look at the "fine print" and don't understand how you get the whole $2500 for an add-on vs. just 10%. Has anyone else gotten the full $2500 (or more if billed in 2 cycles) free financing for 6 mths?

i just added on with my disney credit card. Does this happen automatically or is it up the MS to put some type of code when they enter the transaction and does MS know to do that???????????? :confused3

I'm going to call my credit card tomorrow.

I have another question about this. Is this 0% deal one of those where you can't use the card for anything else for six months, because any payment you make goes toward the 0% interest part first?

Yeah, that's how I'm readin' it too:

And I am not gonna come back to this thread because I'm really tempted to buy a small add on if I can get 6 months free interest for the purchase. :rotfl:

I never asked for the int free billing. My guide just did the billing in the 2 parts and as long as she did I plan to take advantage of it.

Against my will I am feeling the same way. If you add on now (my UY is October), when do the points come?

I added on in September, I added 100 points and while disney billed it as two separate transactions one for $2500 and one for the remainder, I just looked at my statement on line and they were both qualified transactions that would have been 0% interest for 6 months.

I think it applies to all disney vacations and such as I am going on a Adventures by Disney trip next year and each time I make a payment it goes into the qualified promotional area and i get 6 months interest free. I only used my disney visa rewards because you get more rewards points for Disney Transactions.

Mine was put through incorrectly....

Mine wasn't broken up into 2 payments which would have allowed me the $2499 interest free for 6 months....Once it was processed, MS Accounting could not change it...:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Needless to say not to happy about that:sad1: :sad1:

Be careful, to receive the interest free 6 months, the payment must be under $2500..thus 2499..Good Luck!:goodvibes

I'm sure the answer to this is 'No', but does anyone know if this 6 month interest free period on the first $2,500 also applies to resales?

I believe in order to qualify for 6 mos interest free, the vendor must be DIsney Vacation Club or Disney Travel Company..

Good Luck!:goodvibes

That isn't correct while it may be what happened to you and your experience, one charge can be exactly 2500 and then a separate charge is billed. both my 2500 and the remainder were qualified transactions and I think it is because one is billed as Disney vacation development and the other as DVC escarow payments.

People who did this charge: What was your experience? Could you keep using your visa card and just pay off the other charges?

My experience with Chase 0% offers, which the Disney Visa one is, is that any payment you make would be applied to the 0% balances first. So if you have a balance on your card that doesn't qualify, that will just sit there collecting interest until the 0% balance is paid off.

If you can, just transfer any balance to a different 0% balance credit card, and then charge the DVC purchase. That way everything is at 0%.
