I thought I read on this board that if you book a vacation pkg through AAA and pay with your Disney Visa you qualify for the 0% interest for 6 mos. since AAA books directly through Disney. Anyway, my payment date is coming up and was thinking of using my Disney Visa. I asked my AAA agent about this and she told me to call Chase just to make sure. So I just got off the phone with Chase and was told that pkgs booked through AAA (or Costco for that matter) do not qualify! It has to be booked directly through Disney. Has anyone actually gotten this promotion by booking either through AAA or Costco and paying with their Disney Visa? Now I'm terribly confused!

Not true (that AAA packages do not qualify). I have booked through AAA twice using my Disney Visa, and both times received the 0% interest for 6 months. The most recent trip was booked this past June. The final payment was made in July and my bill shows a promotion end date of 1/08. However, I was NOT eligible for the Disney backpack and parade viewing vouchure that Disney Visa offers with packages because I received a discounted rate through AAA.

Did you use your Disney Visa for your deposit and if you did, did that amount also qualify for the 0% interest for 6 mos from that payment? Then when you used your Disney Visa for the balance, was that amount a separate transaction that qualified for the 0% interest for 6 mos from the second payment? I'm curious how they handled the 2 separate transactions for the same pkg.

Yes, I did use my Disney Visa for my deposit and it also qualified for the 6 months 0% interest. On my current statement, these are listed as 2 separate transactions, but both show the same qualifying end date --6 months from the final payment (roughly 5 months from the date of the trip). Now for my recent trip I didn't book my last trip well ahead of time, so the two payments were less than a month apart, so I can't guarantee tht you won't have an earlier end date for the deposit. However, I kinda think it worked the same way previously when I used my Disney Visa for both the deposit and final payment.

BTW, the Disney dollars from the depost and final payment were posted before the trip, so that I was able to use them while we were there. We had a nice dinner at Steakhouse 55 (which offers a discount for Disney Visa holders) on our Disney reward dollars. I did have to remind the hostess of the discount.

I used my disney visa for my costco trip last year and I did get the 6 months 0%. I also got double points as well at the time for the trip, I think they do that from time to time.
