Disney Visa $200 gift card question

I came home to Disney Visa offer in my mailbox today--it's the one with the $200 gift card after putting $500 on the card in the first 3 months.

Since we have a trip booked for January 12, visions of an extra TS meal immediately danced in my head, but then it occurred to me that two logistical concerns might ruin my plans:

1. The fine print says that the gift card will come 6 to 8 weeks "after qualifying". Anyone know if "after qualifying" means"after the three month period is up" or might it hopefully mean "as soon as you hit $500 on the card." If it's the latter, I'm going to apply for the card and use it to buy Undercover Tourist tickets ASAP. (If not....I mean...we're probably going back....hmmmmmm.)

2. Does anyone know if Chase does a "hard inquiry" on your credit report for a Disney Visa?

TIA!

There are several posts on this within the budget board so you might want to look further for more details.

I'm not sure what credit check they run, but I applied on line and was approved within seconds. I have very good but not excellent credit.

The $200 gift card came within days of me reaching the necessary $500 spending level. It is a regular Disney giftcard like you can buy at many places.

My mom got her gift card 2-3 weeks ago and has not even had her Disney Visa for 6-8 weeks yet. I would say it took 1-2 weeks after she spent $500.

And I think they checked Equifax, but she called had had them look at TransUnion when she did not get an instant decision. So, if you have a report that is better than the others, just give them a call and ask them to look at that one.
