Hi,

I'm getting ready to charge the balance of my disney cruise on my disney visa. I originally booked via dcl and later transferred the ressie to a travel agent. Am I going to have trouble getting the 0% interest rate for the cruise charge? I *think* that I did this last year and the charge came through as DCL reservation or something close to that on the bill and I did get the promotional rate.

Anyone do this recently and get the 0% rate. I never carry a balance and would love to pay it over a 6 month period if I can.

Thanks.

Mary

I just received my charge card bill and received the promotional rate. I booked through AAA TA; the promotional message shows up after all of your charges and it gives the date that the rate expires. Have a great cruise!!

You should have no problems.... As long as the TA knows that it is a Disney Visa! Your statement will show DCL..... 6 months 0% interest

What if you did NOT charge your deposit on your Disney Visa but do charge the balance? Does it still count for the promo rate?

We just got the Disney Visa and are considering using it for our cruise but we paid the deposit quite some time ago.

Also does anyone know if the $50 onboard credit is combinable with the rebooking onboard credit?

I know the onboard credit can't be combined with any other offer, so you won't get both. As for paying your deposit with a different card, you should call DCL and find out if they can assist you. I think the entire cruise has to be paid with the Visa to get the rate.

To the OP - As long as your TA books directly thru DCL, you should get the 0% rate.

I recently paid the balance of my cruise with my Disney Visa and did receive the promotional rate even though I had paid my deposit with another card.

Also, I didn't have to do anything special to get the rate. I booked directly with DCL but I made my payment over the phone via the automated payment line. So I never told anyone it was a Disney Visa but when I received my statement the other day, it had the promotional rate.

If you'd like to get 6 months, 0% on everything, including your deposit, your TA should be able to charge everything, including your desposit to your Disney Visa, then refund the deposit amount on the card that you used originally. At least, my TA was able to do this for me.
